How I Learned To Stop Giving A Shit and Love Mindless Self Indulgence

Like "IF" and "You'll Rebel To Anything" but more polished.
Love MSI's music. This album is reminiscent of "IF" and "You'll Rebel To Anything". You'll probably be disappointed if you were expecting a "Frankenstein Girls" style album. If I could describe the band's sound in a word, it would be..."Loud", "Sexy", or, fittingly, "Mindless", because it's nice to just turn it up and lose yourself in it. MSI's lyrics are offensive and often highly unethical, yet there is a sarcastic, narcissistic tongue-in-cheek-ness to it, along with simply great music, which causes it to fairly consistently be my favorite band. The title is fitting for me as well. Before this album I was always embarrassed about liking them, but I've finally learned to stop giving a s*** and love Mindless Self Indulgence. ;)This album was crowdfunded on kickstarter, which is pretty neat too.

For once, a band that gets good again
Truly a lot better than their previous release. If you liked You'll Rebel to Anything, you'll like this album too. Similar themes and style. Seriously makes the previous release look bad. Overall solid. Brought back a lot of the blatantly offensive qualities of the old music that IF just ditched. On a lot of the tracks, the lyrics are once again clever, rather than just filler like I felt a lot of IF was, leaving it forgettable. However if you are looking for a throwback to Frankenstein Girls, this is not it, MSI have moved past the 1:30 explosions of offensiveness, and I guess we have to as well.

WAY better than 'If"
Finally, a MSI album I truly enjoyed once again! I fell in love with them around the Frankenstein Girls phase and bought everything they came out with. Then "IF" happened.... Ugh... *shudders*. BUT! Now back with more flavor! This album was more on par with the pre-IF titles. Not the best IMHO, but still a worthy listen. If you are new to MSI, I'd pick up You'll Rebel To Anything or Frankenstein Girls first though.

Give them your money so they can try again!!!
I was really excited to hear this but was kind of disappointed when I did. Not as edgy or original sounding as the earlier stuff. Some of the tracks grow on you but I still skip through probably a third of this album. Favorites are Anonymous, Witness and It Gets Worse.

Yesssss
I really like having hard copies of albums. Even though I had already gotten this on iTunes I got the hard copy anyway. I really like MSI and really like this album. It arrived quickly, unopened, and with zero problems. Score.

It'll grow on you.
The first time I heard this MSI album I was very iffy on it. To say the least I wasn't pleased it was not what I had in mind. But then I listened to it through a couple more times. It's quickly become one of my favorite, if not my favorite MSI albums.

AN UNDERRATED GEM! FOR PUNK/ROCK/METAL FANS WHO WANT THE FUN PUT BACK INTO MUSIC
i love this album! i wasnt really a fan of their previous stuff, apart from a handful of good songs on each album the rest just seemed too erratic and samey to warrant buying an album.but i heard a few songs from this, risked buying the album and the difference is incredible.theyve taken everything thats them (the genre-defying rock/industrial/rap/funk/punk/metal sound, the humour and extremely catchy choruses) and channeled it into the perfect collection of fun, chunky, polished, singalong anthems.theres no filler tracks or lost sense of direction here.its just such a shame theyre relatively unknown and so underrated, people dont know what theyre missing.in a scene that is full of angsty/serious bands MINDLESS SELF INDULGENCE are a breath of fresh air, putting some fun back into the heavy alternative scene.more albums like this.please!!!
