Works very well with great picture!
I bought this unit to replace a 4 or 5 year old one that quit on me in a thunderstorm. I initially purchased a different make that wasn’t HDBaseT and it was awful. I tried many things to make it work for me but just had to return it and then tried this one. So far, this unit is as good as the other one was bad and much better than the one that quit on me was before it died.Initially I plugged my Tivo directly in and got a strong signal with all LED lights solid right away over 75’ Cat 6 cable. Unlike many other units I have seen in the past, the IR repeater actually works, and works well. I was finally able to get rid of my ancient pyramid IR units. With this initial setup working I began hooking it up the way I really wanted it and how things were set up before my original one died. A Tivo is plugged into a powered 1x4 HDMI splitter. Outputs go to an A/V amp, the main TV and to a powered 4in 2out switcher. One output of the switcher also goes to the A/V amp and the other to my bedroom via this unit over the 75’ Cat 6 cable. Other inputs to my switcher are Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and a Raspberry Pi2 running Kodi/openelec.As soon as I plugged in the HDMI splitter or the switch one of the led lights started flashing indicating a weaker signal but even though a little slower to lock on, it would eventually display a very good 1080i (Tivo) and 1080p (all others) picture. With the weaker signal it is a little slow to stabilize (~10 secs) after changing inputs but it’s not unacceptable as it’s not something that’s done that often. I will try a test using Cat 7 double shielded cable to see if it improves the signal and if so run that via the attic replacing the Cat 6 cable. I may also eliminate the hdmi splitter but like the flexibility it gives me. If neither of these improve the signal though I’m still very happy with the way it’s performing.

You can use longer wire runs if.....
This is the second set of these baluns I've purchased. The first set worked great, but they were sending signal over a pretty short run of wire (~50'). I did accidentally / unintentionally misuse this set. These seller claim that these baluns can deliver 1080p at 60Hz over 230 feet of CAT-6 wire. I wasn't sure how long my wire run was. I estimated it to be about 150 feet. After hooking these up I couldn't get a stable picture. The picture came on for a second, then gone for 3 seconds, then back for 1 second, then off for 3, and so on. I was scratching my head wondering why it wouldn't work. Then I looked at the length markers on my wire and learned that I was shooting the signal over 250' of wire, somewhat beyond the claimed ability of the product. These baluns come with one power supply that can be used on either end of the run. Mine were located in my rack, in my basement, proving power for the other balun via the Cat-6 data cable. Before sending them back, I tried a little experiment. I plugged the power supply from my first set into the unit located down stairs in my rack, and I plugged the power supply that came with the second set into the unit upstairs in my Den, at the other end of the 250' of wire. This should affectively eliminate the need to send power over the long run of CAT-6. Within seconds of plugging in that second power supply, the picture fired up and didn't go away. After a couple of hours of testing with good results, I left the system like this (I jumped the power supply in the basement and added another barrel connector so it's powering both TX units). Both sets have been working flawlessly for months now, even the Den over that 250' run of CAT-6.I gave this review 5 stars because at this price, these things are a home run. The only thing that can be improved, is it would be nice if they were ARC compatible.

Warranty? How long? Can I get this item repared or replaced?
This item worked intermittently, but for most of the time for about 6 months. After that period I could get it to work for an hour or so by unplugging and re-plugging the HDMI cables or power cycling. About a month ago it failed and would only show a green screen occasionally with audio. I also bought and changed the HDMI cables on both sides to make sure that the cabling wasn't the issue. I also tried powering the baluns from both the receiving and transmitting side.Since it is now just over a year old my guess is that the warranty period is over. However there seems to be no information available to me online regarding the time period in which it is covered. (I can't find the original documentation. So I'm not entirely without fault here.)I replaced this balun pair with an older 720p set from another vendor. No issues. I'm using the same 75' factory terminated CAT 7 cable with the older pair,

Works ok for a while, then dies.
Ordered in February 2018 to extend the Onkyo media center to my HD projector ( 60ft ) via CAT6e cable. It's June 2018, just four months later, and the receiver is now failing intermittently requiring a power on/off at the transmitter end to get the signal up. There's no contact information for the manufacturer, and no recourse for me to get a warranty replacement.

Not 4K?
Does not really work with 4K. Had issues getting 4K to show up.

Works as advertised, simple installation.
Very happy with this. The install was straight forward, and it has functioned as advertised. I am not an expert at AV or things electrical, which means this installation is within the capabilities of most homeowners. I did benefit from having Cat6 Ethernet already wired between the rack in the basement where we have our cable boxes and the location in the Kitchen where the TV was installed. I was also able to supply the power at the source (cable box) end of the system as apposed to the destination (TV) end, contrary to what the instructions indicated, which was preferable for our setup.
