Most of these dirt traps are around 12 inches in diameter. However, the bottom diameters of standard-sized buckets like this one usually taper down closer to 9 inches or so at the bottom. After a really long search on Amazon, I found a 9.25 inch diameter dirt trap by the Pro-Elite brand. Great little bucket. Sturdy and ready for gardening. So glad I bought it.

This is a good sturdy bucket, and I ended up using it to hang under the filter system for my water filtering system for my house. I have a cotton filter that needs to be replaced every 3 to 4 months and hanging this bucket underneath saves a lot of mess because it is the right size to handle taking out the filter.

This is a very sturdy bucket.It's a bit on the small size for a bucket. It's not really convenient to put a mop into, at least not the kind of mops that have the sponges and handles to squeeze the sponge. You would want a larger bucket for that. On the other hand this is easier to carry than a really large bucket.

Well made and nice size for washing walls or floors

The bucket is very robust and well made. I think it's going to work fine for my needs. The one I received was missing the handle but they sorted it quickly and I'm satisfied. You might pay a little more for a quality bucket but it's worth it in the end because it's durable.

Good sturdy bucket

I bought this bucket to mop. It's durable, bright and does it's job. The size is nice, I have used it to mop floors, wash my car, etc. It does what a bucket should do! *Snickers*
