Loose, but still so beautiful
I love this robe. I bought it in several colors, many of which are much more vibrant and striking in person. Of the colors I've tried (turquoise, navy, olive, plum, aqua), turquoise is my favorite by far. I also really love navy (classy) and olive (quirky). The other colors are very beautiful as well, but I felt these 3 look best on my skin tone (tanned yellow/beige). I would like plum more if the color didn't look so odd against the peacock design/color scheme. The aqua is paler and more blue than I expected, which makes it look a little too much like PJs - this could just be the way it looks against my skin. I loved the turquoise so much - it's just so lively and fun and very well matched with the peacock design - I decided to get the long version in that color as well. The material is very light and soft - it makes you feel like you aren't wearing much at all. The outside is satiny smooth, while the inside is unlined and not smooth (but still very comfortable). I'm not sure how well this material will breathe in the summer, but it's so loose and flowy, I don't foresee it being a huge problem. The construction quality isn't absolutely perfect, but close enough and definitely worth the price. The fit is definitely loose on a slimmer person. I'm 5'7" and 115 lbs (I normally wear a size 0 or 2), but I still feel great in it. Depending on how tightly you're willing to wrap it around your body, or how billowy you're okay with letting it hang, you can still make it work. Just don't go into this purchase expecting something very form-fitting. The hem falls a few inches above my knees - it isn't the sexiest length, but it's definitely classy. I also don't use the belt loops because they're placed a little low. I just cinch the waist a little higher on the robe, and it looks fantastic.Overall, this is a very beautiful, comfortable, lightweight robe that has made my home life just that much brighter and relaxed :)If you're on the fence about this purchase, I would just go for it. Imho, it's definitely worth the price.

BEAUTIFUL AND ELEGANT AND PRETTY WELL MADE FOR THE PRICE!
I bought this item and worried that it might not look like the photo with the patterns cut in the same positions as the photo. I was happily satisfied when it arrived as shown - with the pattern as shown in the exact spots. Not sure if all of them come that way but mine did! The fit is very loose and a little slippery because it is so silky soft. The material is lightweight but not cheap. You cannot see through it and even if you hold it up to a bright light and try to see your hand, you can barely see a shadowy shape. It is cool in the warm evenings and I like it for my meditation. I am five foot one inch tall (a size 2) and this robe has plenty of lateral and vertical room if you are taller or larger. There is plenty of overlapping material and I'd say this robe could expand up to a size 10. It is cut in the traditional rectangular shape as real kimonos and has plenty of arm room. There is an inside tie to tie off the robe on the inside and then the outer belt to tie off the overlapping front of the robe. The outer overlap doesn't hold very well unless you tighten the belt really well. However, no matter to me. As soon as I put this robe on, it puts me in a wonderful peaceful place, a mood, a zone, if you will, and takes my worries away. I love its elegance and simplicity. I am going to buy the light green one too now that I have had this robe for several months and really enjoy it.

Love the side pockets and inside tie, but quite large
As a OSFM, you can't expect it to fit your frame perfectly. I would have preferred a specific size to purchase, as it is quite large on me. (I'm 5'4, usually ~115lbs, but i'm 8months pregnant at ~140lbs now) It fits the belly and then some! But, once I give birth, this robe is going to hang quite large on me. The sleeves reach ~4" above my wrists, and the length hits at the knees. What I love is the side pockets and the inside tie! I didn't like the others that I purchased with the front pockets, because when wrapped, they'd sit oddly in the front and it looked strange.Color is vibrant, and quality of fabric is as expected (cheap polyester) but I still find it light and comfortable. Can get a bit static-y!Someone suggested adding snaps to the robe, which I'd recomend as ewll. Because of the material, it's a bit slippery and doesn't stay in place well.

Own Your Own Silky Kimono
I bought one of these for my mom, and one for myself. I'm a guy.I initially bought the Dragon & Mt Fuji Cotton Kimono for men, mainly to be outlandish and as a bit of a joke. It actually turned out to be a fun thing to wear to lounge around the house. After enjoying that, I thought I needed something to top that. What better way than to get a silk version? This is a little on the shorter end, as it is made for women. It's very silky, comfortable, and like nothing is there. There are two side pockets, but why put anything in them as the weight would drag the whole thing down. There are many colors to choose from, and I'm sure you'll find one you like.Try a kimono today. You might secretly enjoy it. Recommended.

Very comfy but not 'One size fits all'...also POCKETS
I bought this as a house coat and possibly a costume. The sleeve length is 3/4 length and the hem goes to the knee. Maybe a bit longer than I had expected for 'short,' but I've decided that it is a very desirable length. They say one size fits all, however I'm about an average sized gal and it could swallow you a bit... but thank goodness you wrap kimonos! The material isn't quite silk, but is very slick and comfortable. What I hadn't really noticed was that it is sewn with pockets. Since I'm smaller and wrap the robe around me, the pocket lays over my crotch area, which is kind of silly. I was thinking of ripping the seams from the pockets and hopefully no one would ever notice. I've seen a similar robe with sizes here on Amazon, so if I were to purchase another robe (of a different color) I'd probably buy through the company with the sizes. However, it's a beautiful piece for the price and I like it plenty! :D
