I'm not a music critic so I won't give you my deep track-by-track analysis, but I can say that I like every song on the album and really love at least 2 (Gita and bad kingdom). I was stunned by their first album and their 2nd, while very different in style is equally good.

i find this album very good for playing in the background while working. i found out about this project from Future Music magazine interview, and so after being impressed with what i saw them do in the studio i decided to check out the latest album. it does not disappoint!

It grows on you... but the first listen is really enough. Sometimes the vocals reach near enough toward transcendence to make this five stars versus four.

I love Modeselektor. Apparat is okay, but Modeselektor, with their 50 weapons label, are the most under rated electronic act working in my humble opinion. The berlin duo's last record "monkeytown" is barely in the past, the tour had just finished when they announced the release of "II," the follow up to the self titled debut.I didn't expect it to be a five star record, i didn't expect it to be a likely favorite for 2013, (which is getting harder and harder, there's alot of good music this year!) but it is, it is.This record is like a daydream, you can play it as background music and it will slide by, you'll reach the end thinking "god, that was quick, best play it again..." closer listens with headphones will only reward, as this record has possibly the greatest production duo in the world at the top of their game at the helm. The overall beats, synths, vocal manipulations, and general atmosphere is crafted here with the most gentle of hands. This record is soft around the edges. Songs like the stark, beautiful "Gita" are so perfectly arranged instrumentally that it feels as if there's not a thing more, or less, to be added here. These songs were all handled with such care, and the result is one of the warmest, best "headphones junkie" record of the year without a doubt.The rolling bounce of the ten minute track, "milk...."...the gauzy daze of "this time," these songs are dance worthy, sitting staring out the window of a bus worthy, or just holding the casing slack jawed in amazement at this monumental, brilliant achievement of a record.I am honestly shocked that there aren't more reviews. This is pure gold, from begining to end.BUY IT.And check out the deluxe, there's an extra song "last time," that's definately worth the money.

Just like Moderat's first album, II is compelling and consistent. Every time I play this album, I end up playing it twice.

Not sure why but it was jumping and skipping right away, didn’t appear dirty or anything so maybe it was just a bad pressing.

Delivery took a while to get to Australia from the UK, but it was well packaged and arrived safely. Good quality and great album! I'll be definitely buying from rare waves again.

La touche d'Apparat est encore plus présente ici que sur l'album précédent de Moderat, on se demande même où est la différence entre Devil's walk, son sublime dernier album solo. et 'II'.Qu'importe ... et c'est même tant mieux. On se régale du début à la fin. Un disque sublime où les climats empreints de rêvererie à l'électronique ouatée , enchantent. Rares sont les artistes qui peuvent à ce point rendre l'électro émouvante. Chapeau bas l'artiste.
