A Practical Manual to Labor and Delivery

Practical, up to date resource for medical students and new residents who rotate on L&D
I wish I'd found this at the start of my intern year. It offers more context, obstetrics focus, and more up to date information than the red book, with more thorough explanations of how to do things basic things like perineal laceration repairs, OB ultrasound, and cervical exams. It is full of things like this that are essential to functioning on L&D but are glossed over in textbooks and may or may not be taught to you by busy residents and attendings during your initial OB rotations. As you might expect from the title, it contains no gyn surgery stuff.Source: current Family Medicine resident
