Looks great
You CAN take this off after you apply it and it won't remove your paint and it's still sticky enough to do the job. The exact placement is tough to see while you are working the job so I strongly recommend you place blue painter's tape as a guide above where you want it to go. Place the tape, step back, and if you like it, so for it. This molding can sag in the middle while you match up the ends with chrome and other moldings, so you need the tape. There's some extra just in case you make a mistake, but not a lot. I think I ended up with 4 feet extra. This means you can't afford to cut the longest pieces wrong. Some of the cuts are angled and beveled, so be really careful you don't cut the angles wrong. I'd suggest using some scrap wood as a guide, because anyone who has hanged cove molding understands how easy it is to cut something backwards. I used a regular old chop saw and it cut very clean. Do it outside because it will fill your shop with black plastic snow.

This is some nice stuff
Save your self hours !!!! Buy or use “TIN SNIPS”.I tried brand new box blade, razor , knife and finally scissors. Nothing mentioned left a clean or nice cut. Until i used tin snips, like a hot knife through butter. Took me 10Minutes max to cut the right lengths.Very nice trim, double side tape is good. Would order this again for sure.

Old adhesive must be removed
I've replaced dozens of these belt line moldings on various vehicles. The quality and adhesion of this item is excellent. It comes in a roll with no instructions. Here are some tips to make the replacement easier and look better. 1. Work in a warm environment. 2. Unroll molding in advance, cut it to approximate size, and place it in a warm room under some weight. 3. Clean off all old adhesives on your truck. This can be difficult and take some time. I use "Rapid Remover" and PLASTIC razor blades - all available on Amazon. Do NOT use any metal scraper. Rapid Remover dissolves the adhesive glue and may take several applications. 4. Clean the contact area well with wax remover or alcohol. 5. Run a masking tape line where the top of the molding will go. This will ensure a straight line when applying molding. 6. Cutting the molding clean and straight can be difficult. I use this cutter https://www.amazon.com/Ronan-401-Multi-Cut-4-Cutter/dp/B01DWRYA7Q/ref=sr_1_26?crid=1SKS4IF2BJQTQ&keywords=razor+cutter+tool&qid=1707949254&sprefix=razor+cutter%2Caps%2C97&sr=8-26 to get a clean straight cut. Results are as good as factory. Good luck!

Fantastic
I cut two strips and used them for cosmetic purposes to cover a piece of sheet metal I had riveted to the vehicle body around a rusted out area. I placed the two strips adjacent to each other, a couple of inches beneath the original strip of body trim molding. This product appears identical to the original.

Looks factory
Took about 2 hours to put on and it was hard to cut but it sticks great. I ordered the shorter role and it was the perfect amount for just the cab.

This is the right molding for '95 K1500!
This molding worked very well for my '95 K1500 extended cab Silverado. It did an excellent job of replacing the 25 year old originals and make it look like new again. One roll was a good length to do all moldings on both sides of my extended cab. I have one leftover piece that is long enough to keep as a spare. I did not have any mis-cuts but if I had there would have been enough to get the job done. A half roll would not have done it. IF you have an OBS Chevy, this is the right stuff! One question that I had (as did others) was whether you can use the factory badge emblems on the trim. The answer is YES! See photo. The profile is close enough to the original that the trim fits it. I needed to drill holes through the molding to accommodate the mounting pins for the molding (and the metal clip that holds them) but that was very easy by laying the old molding on top of the new and carefully drilling using a twist drill bit. I used a dab of black trim adhesive for extra insurance that the emblems will stay in place. They look awesome and it was not difficult at all.
