Medium is pretty hard
My biggest question buying this product was which strength to pick, I'm a male in my mid 30s and I've got fairly good hand strength. I've used the regular grip strength equipment (the little grip tool with the metal coil that you see everywhere). Turns out that this product exercises a few different aspects of grip strength that the regular grip tool doesn't cover. I found the following explanation on the BuildLean website for the different types of grip strength:1. Crush Grip: crushing is the action of closing your hand around something and squeezing. This would be what you do every time you hold onto a dumbbell.2. Pinch Grip: pinching is the action of holding onto an object and squeezing with just your fingertips and not letting it drop. It can also be the act of pinching something together with just your fingertips (eg pinching a clothes pin….do people still use those?).3.Supporting Crush Grip: this is the act of supporting an object with a crush grip where you support most of the load with your fingers. Common examples are carrying a dumbbell, deadlifting or even carrying your grocery bags by the handle.4.Open Crush Grip: this is when you are using a crush grip but your fingers don’t quite touch or overlap. Fat bar or awkward object holds are great to train open crush grip. The real life carry over here would be an easier time opening jars (among other things) when your fingers are spread open. Having a strong open crush grip really comes in handy!5.Hand Extension: this technically isn’t a grip exercise in every sense of the word but it trains from the synergistic muscles to the ones you use for grip. This keeps a healthy muscle balance in your hands and wrists, which aids in preventing injury and overuse of those muscle groups. They will also help your actual grip strength improve! The regular tool we use just does 'Crush Grip' but this one does the other ones. Even if you use the regular hand strength tool it doesn't help that much with these excises. After much debate I opted for the medium strength. I found it very challenging. There are setting to raise and lower tension on the individual fingers but you can barely feel the difference between the highest and lowest settings.I'd advise that males of upper-mid strength go for medium, it's pretty hard! Only if you a very advanced already would I go for hard. The product itself is good quality, I'd only make two improvement. A nice carry case for both parts, and that the adjustments on the grip device to have a much greater affect on the resistance.Overall good product!

Amazing kit, fantastic value, best customer service ever!!
I bought this kit because I work with my hands all the time and experience a lot of pain in my fingers and joints. So I did some research on hand exercisers and I found this kit which combines the designs of the best hand exercisers on the market into these two devices, and I have previously used the Xtensor hand exerciser, which had the huge flaw of the bands breaking all the time, and in this kit the red stretch/clench exerciser allows me to get the same exercise I would with the Xtensor, but it is far better than the Xtensor, over time it gets a little worn in but it's design allows for it to stretch and get worn in without breaking or falling apart. The orange exerciser is great because you can adjust the strength for each individual finger, and since I have very weak pinkies I'm able to adjust the strength down for them while still getting the greater resistance I need for my other fingers to get a good workout. I started using the medium resistance, I've been using it every day for just over a month, and far I haven't gotten to the point where I can use the maximum resistance levels, but I can feel the difference from when I started and my hands are definitely getting stronger which has in turn made working with my hands easier and less painful, and since they also have a kit for maximum resistance I know that when I get my strength up to that point I will definitely be purchasing the hard resistance level kit. Last, but certainly not least, I have to say that the customer service I have received since placing this order has been phenomenal. When I first received my order I noticed that I couldn't adjust the resistance in the orange exerciser, so I contacted the seller, Jacopo, and he was unbelievably helpful, he went above and beyond, he apologized for the inconvenience, he sent me a brand new kit right away, and then he made sure I had all the information I needed to get the most out of Siso hand kit, he sent me videos of hand warm-ups which have been really helpful, and he put me on the waitlist to receive a free eBook of finger exercises. And since this product has a lifetime warranty, knowing that this seller truly cares about the product and the customers makes me feel like I am in very good hands should I ever need help with the product or if I needed to have it replaced. Overall, I really couldn't be happier with this purchase and the customer service I received!!

Love the hand extender-gripper.
It dawned on me that the hand's extension muscles are rarely exercised and to that degree hands can get "unbalanced" by continuous flexion activities or exercises. So I began a search specifically for hand-extension exercisers. When I saw this "extender-GRIPPER" which allowed convenient, alternation between strengthening the grip and strengthening the extensor muscles I thought to myself, "This is pure genius!" So, I've had this kit - with the "hardest" resistance extender-gripper - in my possession for about a week now, just trying to ease into daily hand exercises while watching TV. I've arbitrarily decided - since I'm just starting out - to just do 10 reps with each hand, each "rep" consisting of two parts, you know, squeeze the center ball, holding for a few seconds, release, and then extend the fingers strongly for the same count as I squeezed. While I'm exercising one hand, I count off the reps using the fingers of the other hand. Just 10 reps each hand. And, oh, I do play with the other device but not to any strict count. But anyway, after doing this relatively easy-breesy routine for a few days it just so happened that I needed to go out and cut some kindling using a hatchet. I really had no expectations, really gave it no thought, but as soon as I started weilding the hatchet I could tell something had changed. The hatchet felt a bit lighter and I felt more in control of it. I must emphasize the "bit" lighter, after all, it was after just a few days of using the exercisers. Nevertheless I did notice the improvement. And I might as well mention that I think my typing has improved also.
