Great backup camera for the value

Bought on Amazon and then took this camera to best buy for the install (they will do it even if you don’t buy it there. Way cheaper on Amazon than at best buy for the same product at the time i purchased). Seems easy to install yourself though. Some helpful videos available online. Video is clear and has parking lines. Nothing fancy. Simple and does the trick. Havent tested it in constant snow or rain as far as the camera’s weather endurance...but i assume it will survive.

As advertised. Its good in dark areas. Optinal distance lines, Would recommend.

Do not buy this item. Both the blind spot cameras AND the rear view cameras have built-in in-line voltage regulators (DC-DC converters) that convert 12v to 3.3v. Over time and in a heated car, these voltage regulators begin to fail. The cameras come-on momentarily and then shut off. All 3 of my cameras failed at different times, but they all failed.

I've had this product installed for a little over 2 years now. It's a decent picture on the screen during the day. Can't really see anything at night. My only big complaint is I had trouble with the mount rusting. It started rusting almost immediately after I installed it. I just got in the habit of sanding it down and painting it about once a year.

Used this with the stock UConnect touchscreen radio on our 2012 Jeep Wrangler JKU. I tapped into the power from the cigarette lighter and ran the wiring under the mats/trim. Did need to flash the radio with my obd jscan tool to turn on the reverse camera function on the UConnect radio, which was very easy to do.

I purchased this back up camera to go along with my stinger radio. It stop working a few weeks later. I returned it for a new one and the “new” one didn’t work at all. No wonder it says “frequently returned”.
