Sometimes I can answer that question, while others are not sure. When it comes down to carburetors each has a certain PSI for fuel pressure rating. These need to be match. If a carb is rated @ 6psi then the fuel pump should be @ 5 PSI or a little less . If you get too much PSI, the float in the carb WILL NOT shut off. This will cause the carb to flood fuel everywhere in & on the engine. Not enough PSI might cause low fuel delivery. The other item is GPH {gallons per minute}, in most cases this is not important issue, unless you got a rocket vehicle that needs massive fuel delivery. Also I have been asked about the mounting positions, I always try to mount it feet down and also close to the fuel supply {tank} as possible. A general rule to any type pump, it can push liquid farther than it can pull it {from tank}.
