Milwaukee 48-59-1850 M18 Xc 5.0 Starter Kit

I needed a new battery charger and discovered this package. Not only did I get the charger but a new 18v battery. This works perfectly for all of my Milwaukee power tools.The batteries charge fast. Works for all my preexisting batteries. Great deal for both items. Offered at a lower price than found locally. Arrived fast.

After reading SOOO ANY reviews, I was very hesitant to order this due to others saying the charger and battery come separately, the battery wouldn't charge of the charger itself didnt work. I'm happy to inform you, NONE OF THAT was the case with my order. It arrived 3 days after I placed the order, and not only did they arrive together, the battery was fully charged. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this item. It's cheaper here than anywhere else I looked, and it's FAR cheaper than going to a box store or buying off Ebay.

Legit Mil walk Eye A basic charger. Works as it should, and at less than current economy "msrp". Cant complain about that! Seen peopels bad reviews about the whambulance error.. I got that too, Then quickly realized I hadnt pushed the battery all the way into the charger.. Its pretty "tight like a tiger" when shes new. Takes quite a bit of force the first time for the m18 battery to slot in.

Para los que crean que la baterías están malas solo conecten bien la batería al cargador y problema solucionado, si persiste, solo desconecten el cargador quiten y vuelvan a conectar bien las baterías y listo. Works well with my battery skilsaw

This charger is handy because it has both slots for my M18 and M12 batteries, as I own both types of Milwaukee tools. It works quickly, and even my fully drained 5AH M18 Fuel battery recharges in about an hour. The smaller, lower amp hour batteries charge very quickly - especially the 2.0AH M12 Fuel batteries.Note this charger is priced well comparatively here on Amazon, for instance, when I went to buy this at Home Depot, the $149 price tag scared me off. Considering I got mine here on Amazon for $95, that is a huge price difference for the same product. I bought it from a third party seller, but it was the same product, in the same new factory sealed clam shell packaging - only 40% cheaper than Home Depot.One thing to like about this charger is that it does not over-charge your batteries if you leave them in there after they are done charging. Some chargers keep delivering full charging amps if you leave the battery in the charger, and if you forget about it and leave it in the charger for extended periods, you can shorten the life of your batteries. This Milwaukee charger goes into a "float" mode after the charging light turns green, and maintains the battery to full charge witlh low and periodic voltage. That is a nice feature.Another nice feature of the M12 and M18 lithium batteries - no memory for partial charges. (or so Milwaukee claims ;-)) As some may know, if you put a half charged battery in some chargers, and not wait until the battery is fully drained to charge it, then your battery will develop a "memory" and you will progressively get worse and worse life / performance out of the battery, until it dies a premature death. (This is why there are shops that sell "recycled" batteries - these batteries can actually be bought back to life with a special "refresher" charger, and they sell them again!!))This "partial charging" and memory is not an issue with the Milwaukee charger - it claims you can top off your batteries at will if you expect a long day of wrenching...One thing to note about this charger - although it has two charging ports (one for the M18 and one for the M12) - you cannot charge two batteries at the same time. Only one will charge, and when it is complete, the other battery will begin charging. It would have been handy if both batteries would charge at the same time.Another thing that would be nice is some sort of beep or notice that the battery has completed. The process of finding out your battery is fully charged is entirely visual, and I wish more chargers would give some audio cues when completed. Batteries last the longest when only left on the charger as little as possible, so some sort of notice when done would be nice.All in all a good charger - no memory, float charging when full are good features - however, concurrent charging of two batteries and an audible tone when done would make this a five star charger in my book.Thanks for reading.

Great charger. Easy to plug in batteries, easy to see red and green charging light. I’ve got 2 now. One came with my power drill set, and I bought this one as backup in my tool bag.I’d buy it again.
