Great size and protection but does condensate.
Very roomy. I am 6'4" 385 and fit well. I just used it to sleep out last weekend and it definitely help keep out the strong wind even though it was only 27 deg F. One downside though is if you twist around and don't breath directly out the screen it will condensate...a lot. I had a drops of water all over when i woke up. Not a dealer breaker though. I used it with my mmss sans the gortex shell since i had this and I was very comfortable despite the cold.

Ultra-Light, but not 100% water tight
This Bivi-bag is designed for tent usage only. It isn't 100% goretex, just on the upper portion, the bottom is a tafta nylon. Don't get me wrong though this bag is ultra light, tough and large enough to put your belt kit in the upper portion. It however can't be used as a emergency floatation device by putting your rucksack in it and making a life raft. The price being asked for it is about right, but not the orginal asking price unless you have a CAGE credit card LOL

Five Stars
Best bivy I've used. Breathable, waterproof, and roomier than the competitors. Much better than the USGI kits.

Durable functional Gortex Bivy
I felt like i was taking a chance when purchasing the SFC Assault Bivy because i could not find more than a couple of reviews for it on the web. After purchasing it the first trip I went on was Winter backpacking on the Chatooga river trail in northeast Georgia. In Georgia we don't tend to get much snow but while gaining elevation on our drive to the trailhead we were noticing quite a bit of snow. By the time we arrived there was around a foot of snow on the ground at the trail head. when paired with my Slumberjack Soujourn 20 degree sleeping back this bivy kept me comfortable at night into the high teens. The first night I had major problems with condensation buildup on the inside of the bag. The next night I resolved the condensation issue by leaving the mesh window and a bit of the side zipper open to ventilate. Since then I have learned to properly manage the ventilation and this bivy when paired with a small lightweight tarp has really grown on me. When it is nice weather and not raining i can fold the top of the bivy down and not have to worry about condensation. When it is going to be wet I will setup the tarp to keep the head end covered and since i am a side sleeper i tend to unzip the side where my mouth is aimed at rather than the screened opening on top. Doing that has resolved my condensation issues for the most part and keeps my down sleeping bag protected from the rain and mud. I would recommend getting a center zip sleeping bag or one that unzips on both sides like the Sluberjack Soujourn 20 to make getting in and out of the whole setup a little less fussy.

Highly recommended - light, roomy, replaced hammock shelter.
This is exactly as described, by text and by picture. It is incredibly roomy! I am 6'3"/200lbs and this thing could probably fit 2 of me. The material is perfect for stormy weather. It is incredibly light weight, much lighter than any rain flies I previously carried, which this has now fully replaced. I use a hammock when backpacking and dislike the inconvenience of carrying and setting up the shelter. Even with a good shelter, when it storms with high winds you'd be lucky to stop the water from blowing under even the largest tarps, especially the water that may run down the hammock straps into the ends of the hammock. With this sweet slice of heaven I can just get in my sleeping bag, slide this over me, and lay in my hammock and watch the stars without worrying about typhoons ruining my trip.Highly recommended.

Only draw back is the condensation is terrible whether it was vented or not
Very roomy indeed as Im 6'3" and still had plenty to store some gear inside. Only draw back is the condensation is terrible whether it was vented or not.
