AVOID - DO NOT USE
I changed my previous high-rating review of this after some more research as well as a horrifying experience. The Material is standard cloth/string and a MAJOR hazard for bird feet and talons once the material starts to wear. 2 days ago my Cockatiel got its' front-right talon trapped in some of the material, freaked out, and broke most of the nail clean off, blood everywhere and on the poor bird too. Luckily it clotted well enough but it traumatized her for a couple of days and I took it out as soon as I realized that's what happened, and will not be using it again. She's doing better now, but her front right claw is noticably broken and a bit swollen still.Beware materials like this when your bird is unsupervised!

Fantastic branch, every parrot owner should buy one.
I love this! I ordered the longest size, and the branch was much bigger around than expected, but my gold cap conure loooves it. It took her a while to get used to it, but it's now her preferred way in and out of her cage. I attach one end to her play structure on top of her cage and one end inside so she can easily climb in and out of her cage. I love that it's flexible and somewhat keeps its shape when you pose it. It's starting to show some wear and tear after a few weeks of her nails and beak going at it, but for $8, I'll happily replace it when it starts to get ratty. I also definitely plan on buying more once I install some wall perches. I love the idea of making a little booda branch trail for her to climb between perches.10/10, recommend to anyone, and I plan on buying more again soon.

Nice addition to your cage!
I adopted my cockatoo from someone who kept him in a too-small cage. I ended up buying a large cage and needed perches to fit the cage. This rope perch is amazing. It's long so you can twist it around to make curves and dips in the perch. Adding it to the cage is fast with the end caps -- holds well too! I was able to adapt it to fit with several other naturaL perches in his cage.I was surprised how well this rope holds the weight of my cockatoo. It just doesn't dip from his weight as I expected.Prior to getting this perch, I would find my cockatoo clinging to the side of the cage in the morning -- it appeared he had not been sleeping on his perchs. Since I have installed these perches I find him in,them every morning sitting contently on these rope perches. I have now had these perches in his cage for four months and they are holding up very well - easy to clean up and he doesn't seem to have any interest in chewing them up.Highly recommend as an addition to natural perches.

I like the JW version best because the end-caps screw on and make for a tight hold.
I've used cotten-rope-wound perches for a long time, but I like the KW ones the best because the winding is nice and tight, and I especially like the end-caps, because they make for a secure and stable hold. My parrot will avoid anything that bounces around much, I these non-toxic, stable rope-perches are both her, any my, favorite ;)

Best Tool for a DIY Jungle Gym
Pet: 2 female rats. Approx 6 monthsWell made, Whatever the core is made of it retains its shape and strength well even if many tiny feet are perched atop it. I have 5 of these in my cage all linked up to make a jungle gym for my babies to run up and down on. The largest size (this product) is the best for rats due to the width of the rope accommodating the feet of large rats so they can grow into it.Price also can't be beat, easily less than half of what it costs in most pet stores. Most stores don't carry this size and the smaller ones are all somehow in the $20-30 price range (READ: SCAM)10/10. I've had a few of these for the last 3-4 months and other than some very minor wear of the braids it's still as good as new. And my rats destroy everything but seem to leave the rope braids alone, probably cause their having too much fun using it :D

My African Gray Loves This
My African Gray loves to hang out on these. Only thing is she started to shred one of them, but it's so reasonably priced that I just purchased some more.

Solid and Durable
I purchased the Large and could have gone down a size for my African Gray, but she's still good with it. Easy to bend and super easy to attach to the bars and adjust. Good quality, sometimes not so much fun to clean though.

New Favorite Perch
Had some issues installing, but it worked out and he LOVES it! He now has a new sleeping spot. If he's happy, everyone's happy. <3
