Where's the rest of the music?
I love the film and the music. Tarantino is my favorite director, and he always makes great (and unexpected) choices for music in his films. However, there are a number of musical pieces in the film that aren't on the soundtrack, which really irritates me. The soundtrack album is very short, and it couldn't have cost much to get the rights for most of the obscure musical pieces they used in the film, so why not put ALL of the music on the CD? It's inexcusable.Having said that, I love what IS on the CD. I have two particular favorites:Cat People - I'm a huge Bowie fan, so I was happy to hear this song in the film. Before seeing this film, I had always preferred Bowie's remake (on his Let's Dance album), but I like this version a lot now.Un Amico - The music that plays in the final scene between Shosanna and Fredrick. It's a heartbreakingly beautiful piece of music. Unfortunately, the version on the CD is full of pops and crackles, as if they took it from a record, and not the original master tape. I find it hard to believe that they couldn't track down the masters for an Ennio Morricone score. What really drives me nuts is that they DID clean up the sound of this music in the film. You don't hear the pops and crackles when they use this music in the film. Why didn't they do that for the CD? Of course, that hasn't stopped me from listening to this track a couple dozen times. This is the first Tarantino soundtrack that doesn't have dialogue tracks, but it makes sense. I'm assuming that they left the dialogue out because so much of the film is in French and German. If they put dialogue on the CD, it would only be English dialogue, and Tarantino might think it would be taken as a slight against the many fine actors who don't speak English dialogue in the film.Overall, it's an excellent CD, but it should have had more music on it.

A Uniquel and Wonderful Compilation!
Ever since I purchased this CD from Amazon, it has been my favorite--I listen to it every day to and from work. The sheer variety of the music is what makes it so great. Everything from Ennio Morricone to Billy Preston to David Bowie to Lillian Harvey & Willi Fritsch. It's yet another example of Quentin Tarantino's brilliance--even the music he selects for his films is somehow perfect. When Quentin Tarantino releases a film, I always purchase the soundtrack CD because I know I can count on his broad interest in a wide variety of music. Like the other soundtracks to QT films, the Inglorious Basterds CD demonstrates just how wise and fitting his choices or music are--and how much they truly enrich his films.

Just music, no dialogue samples. Well done Tarantino.
If you've seen the movie, then this is an album containing the music you heard playing during the movie. If you haven't seen the movie, this is an album with a variety of musical stylings. I particularly like that Tarantino did not include any dialog bits from the movie on this soundtrack. I love his dialogue, but that's what I watch the movies for. When I play a soundtrack album, I want to hear music, not whatever bits Tarantino might consider the wittiest parts of the movie. Great soundtrack.

inglourious basterds soundtrack
the soundtrack to inglorious basterds is very cool, it has old school songs from the time period that Quentin choose for the movie which are very hard to find ! plus some of the songs are in german but you still enjoy it. Quentin's soundtracks to his movies are always the best because he finds songs you never even knew about. Quentin fans know what i talking about. So if your a Quentin fan or not BUY HIS SOUNDTRACKS they always have good music on them.

Jews One, Nazis Zero
hink of it; a film where the Jew fights back against the Hun and achieves some level of vengeance for the genocide that was taking place. The idea that Jews were helpless and slaughtered with no resistance is shattered by this unforgettable film. These men led by Aldo Raines were Glorious Bastards and from every aspect editing, acting writing this film was unforgettable.

ONE HUNDRED GNATSI SCALPS
Beautiful artwork throughout the entire book, the score is great, and I didn't have to pay much attention all for it. Say Auf Whiterzen to a few bucks!
