It would be nice if they were offered in a petite
These run very long and they can't be hemmed. It would be nice if they were offered in a petite. They were about 5 inches too long and had to be tucked up and tied off with Velcro.

Totally worthy!!!
I work up in Alaska as an Observer and I absolutely love these rain pants already! Im 5'4 and 165 pound and I got a size large because I like to wear a lot of clothes underneath my rain pants. Im able to put on these pants with my xtratufs on and everything. I could of probably got a medium but again I wear a lot of clothes because im in Alaska. I would def buy again and you don't have to worry about water getting in after washing them like you do with Grundens. No pockets though. But for only $35 compared to Grunden that are $60, you cant even compare at this point! Thanks Helly Hensen for a wonderful pair of new rain pants!

Great for Trail Ride
I purchased these pants to bring with me on a two day horseback excursion in case of rain. They are lightweight and definitely waterproof. They are not the most stylish, but for my purposes they are perfect. If I could change anything, I would make them a little less high waisted (although I am not looking for hip huggers while riding, these do sit very high) and slightly shorter. I am 5'10" and they do drag slightly on the ground when walking so I cuffed them.I normally wear a size 16 and the XXL fits me great.Additionally, they cost a lot less than other products I saw.

the pants themselves were great. The inner lining feels amazing
5'1" 104 lbs. I would give it 5 stars, but the waistband was way too tight. I ended up cutting the little elastic string that looped around the waist. Even then it felt a little snug leaving imprints in my skin. Also, these pants ride high. I prefer low rise and these came up several inches above my navel. They do have a glossy look to them but are waterproof and windproof, which is what matters and what I wanted most. In addition, they do make some noise when walking as the fabric in the legs rubs together. Aside from the above, the pants themselves were great. The inner lining feels amazing, and these pants do keep you warm. I wore them while summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro, and together with wool long johns, was warm and cozy. We encountered wind, snow, and rain and I felt none of those elements through these pants.

Passes a Washingtonian Dog Wranglers "test"
I live and work out doors in Washington State. It rains, ALOT. For work, I am outside all day supervising 100+ dogs. When it rains, the very wet dogs like to rub themselves on my pant legs to dry themselves off, it's not comfortable. I've had several different brands of rain pants in the past. These pants, by far, are the best yet! They are a strong material which I feel won't tear when an over ambitious dog runs it's nails down my leg (very important feature to a dog wrangler). There is a nice lining inside the pants which I think will keep me warm with just one layer underneath during the coldest rainiest months here in Washington. Great product for the price. I highly recommend.

Great rain-proof pants, no pockets
I had a pair of these for a couple of years, somehow lost them, was happy to find them on Amazon at a great price. They are completely rain-proof. The legs are kind of wide, and have 2 sets of snaps at the ankles for adjustment. It is important to some people to be able to put the pants on while wearing boots. You could probably do that with these, but I always take my boots off rather than putting muddy boots inside my pants. There are no ankle zippers. They are not breathable and do make noise when you walk, like with nylon jogging pants. I don't find either to be a problem. I normally wear a size 8, and the medium fits me over jeans in the winter and leggings in the spring & fall. I'm 5'4" and they are too long, but the ankle snaps take care of that. They are lined, so you could wear them alone also. I would give them 5 stars if they had pockets.

I actually think the seat doesn't look all that bad or baggy at all
Purchased in size small to wear over jeans when motorcycling in case of rain. Fit is exactly as shown on the model front and back. I actually think the seat doesn't look all that bad or baggy at all. One thing, the waist is a little snug, but it is a high waist / rise so it's not uncomfortable. Here are measurements of the pants in size small lying flat and unstretched: 13" rise, 21" hips, 12" waist. However, when the waist is stretched and measured it is about 15," so there is a little give. Inseam is about 30." Legs have snaps so they can be tightened and will fit over boots with no problem. Very pleased with this purchase.

Outstanding and reliable
I purchased these pants for my recent Antarctic expedition cruise, as I was required to bring waterproof pants. I was initially leery of the lower price, when other brands' waterproof pants were quite a bit more, but these pants were incredible and really got the job done. I was riding in zodiac boats twice per day for a week in sometimes very choppy water, and my under-layers never got wet. I also had to step out of the boot into 6 to 18 inches of water at the shoreline, so the pants were actually submerged, and they did not allow water to soak into the material and wick up the leg. It is quite windy in Antarctica, and even though it was the summer season down there, daily temps were in the upper 20s F, but the pants stopped the wind and kept my legs warm. They are not lined, so you will need to wear one to two layers, such as a base layer and mid-layer underneath, but you will be warm and dry with these on top. Helly Hansen is a very reliable brand, and many of the experienced expedition staff were wearing their garments, and they were sold in the onboard ship store. They are slightly baggy and don't have pockets, but that was not a problem for me at all. I'm normally a size 2 (5'6", 126lbs), but got a small, rather than an extra-small, and that was the right decision, since I knew I'd be wearing two layers underneath every day. Since returning from the trip, I've worn them out running with only a base layer underneath when it was 20 F, and they locked in my body heat, keeping me warm but allowing full mobility. I cannot recommend these highly enough.

A great pair of waterproof trousers - stylish, warm and comfortable. I love them and would recommend them. I have had other waterproofs but these are definitely the best I've bought so far.
