Pilgrim 18001 Tall 5 Pc Lodge Heavy Duty Fireplace Set in Matte Black Finish

We have big fireplaces and have big fires. So we need bigger tools so we are not burning our arms when we shift logs, etc.These are nice big tools and they keep our hands and arms mostly out of the fire.The only complaint I have with these also applies to all of the fireplace tools made from bar stock steel. The poker is worthless as a pulling tool. The "Barb" at the end is too far back on the poker (and not sharp) to be used to grab a log that is not suspended on other logs.I am planning a field modification to this to put a sharper hook on the END of the tool. I'll let you know how that works out.

These are beautifully crafted, and are large enough to work with a big fireplace or smoker fire box. I bought them for use with a big smoker, where the extra length and heft of these tools makes a big difference. They are by far my favorite fire management tools.I would have rated them 5 stars, but the packaging was not quite as strong as these tools warrant, so the end of the box was partially broken upon arrival, and a screw (for the stand) was missing. I easily replaced the screw from the local hardware store, which was easier and faster than calling the company for a replacement screw (hence I have no experience with their customer support).

Excellent quality and perfect for our large barrel stove in shop. Extra long & Heavy Duty tools for actual use vs just looking good! Broom works great and no issues with bristles coming out like many other high end brands had issues with! Bought this same set for my bother's Christmas gift as well!
