7010 Replacement Lever for Powerlifting Lever Belts

Better than the Lever that came with my Belt. Look for Contraband's Heavy Duty lever version!
18MAR17 - I'm updating my review of the product and the company. Yes my originally purchased lever broke; however, the company worked with me to design an heavier duty version for powerlifters. I just got a test version in the mail today! It looks great and is very rugged! The newer heavy duty version will hopefully last forever!!! It is much better than any of the previous investment cast versions that I've had in the past. I can't give Christopher at Contraband a high enough review for his customer service!!! He really went above and beyond!04NOV16 - I bought this lever from Contraband Sports back on February 25th of 2016. I was at my last meet a week ago and the damn thing broke on me during my squat warm up while in the hole! Not good!I bought this lever for my new Schiek powerlifting belt. I like the color options and this lever seems to be much better quality than the original. The only issue with this lever is that when it is fully released (open) between lifts, the lever has a tendency to stick and is hard to pry loose. That is why I gave it 4 stars. It will likely loosen up over time, but it is annoying for now. Overall it does what it is supposed to and is a great alternative to buying a new belt if your original lever breaks.

Good replacement
Bought the black one to replace my chrome one that came with the belt. Have had this replacement for over a year now with only a slight issue. The lever tends to "stick" in the loose position or the fully extended position. Meaning it is annoying having to hit it against an object just to unstick it so that you can tighten the belt when you're ready for your set. Of course there are probably ways to fix this but I'm just too lazy and it really isn't that big of a deal for me. The other issue is that the screws that this comes with are shorter than the ones that came with the belt. Not really sure if this would end up being an issue down the road, but I just ended up using the longer screws for safe measure. Anyway, everything else is good. Durable, screws in tight, what else is there to ask for? I am using this on my 13mm lever belt.

Poor craftsmanship.
The screws were atrocious. I had to clean them to and try and get them to work. The craftmanship was terrible overall. I had to finish one of the holes on the backpiece to allow the screw to pass through the back because there was still metal in the hole, the threads on the screws were rough and unclean and so were the interior threads on the clasp which basically means they were unusable upon delivery. Honestly if I didn't have the proper tools to fix it all I would have never been able to get it together. Even for a cheap part, the quality was poor.

Perfect fit and perfect function
There aren't many options out there when it comes to replacement buckles, this has got to be the best. Contraband replacement lever buckle is about 1/2 the price of the other single piece buckles that are out there and works great. It's an obvious quality upgrade from the original buckle that came on my belt, it was a perfect fit to my 10mm belt with no slack at all. If you are looking for a replacement or just an upgrade look no further, save the money and buy this buckle you will not be disappointed. My only complaint if you can call it that is the lever was a little sticky at first, after my first few gym sessions everything worked great no sticking.

Better than the original lever, but doesn't fit in belt hold exactly right
More solid than what came with the belt. For that reason I like it a lot. However, it doesn't align exactly with the holes of my belt when I'm wearing it during lifts. The front two prongs fit in the belt holes properly, but the back two don't. However, I haven't had a situation where the two main prongs have come out of the belt during the lift. That's why I'm still scoring it pretty high.

WARNING: only 4 month lifespan
Update: just literally exploded on me, middle of a reputation and I feel a snap. I look down to see the buckle coming apart. No sooner then when I racked the weight did this buckle turn to bits. Almost cost me my back

Good product, fits Pioneer belts
Looks to be of good build quality and sturdy. The screws suck! I couldn't get them to tighten before they started to strip but I just replaced them with the old screws, no biggie. Fits perfectly on Pioneer belts

You get what you pay for.
You get what you pay for. Doesn’t close all the way and doesn’t completely latch into the belt, but does stay closed when lifting. I use it on my bench belt so there isn’t an extreme amount of pressure on it. I can also tell that if it hits the ground too hard it will break very easily.
