Good knife.
This has been my go to utility knife for a few years now. It holds up well and is a good value for the price. Light weight, strong clip and universal blade that locks open securely. I’ve beat a couple of these up over the years, but they hold up well to abuse.

Solid knife at very reasonable price
My understanding is that Byrd is the “economic” line of Spyderco. I’m only able to tell because of the price. Doesn’t need to be fancy or anything it gets the job done no problem and it doesn’t cost a small fortune. Good materials, smooth operation and trusty locking mech.

Byrd Cara 👍
A sharpe knife, thin and light weight. The lock mechanism is tight and release requires some push. Good knife at a fair price. Still miss my Spyderco Endura but this is good at half the price.

Buy it. Light, long, and sharp!
I had some trepidation about buying this as I was looking for a fancier steel. I went ahead and got it as an alternate EDC to my SOG AEGIS. Well this little thing surprised me. I love it. I like the blade length and scalpel sharpness. It took some tries but finally got to one hand open and close. Minor complaint of finger soreness if you constantly open and close to get the hang of it. The finger hole is somewhat sharp instead of rounded. There are years of threads about this I found. Most use a zip tie in there and others buy a cheap rubber grommet. For the money you won’t be disappointed. It is very light and extremely sharp.

Cheap alternative to Spyderco
This is made by Spyderco as a cheap “made in China” alternative to their terrific knives. The traditional Spyderco knives are made of better steel and last longer but cost triple the price. I use the Byrd knives as a backup for my pacific salt Spyderco knives.

Sturdy and practical
So far it’s a well made knife, and it has been very practical.

Cheap feeling
The Handle was cheap and hard plastic it felt like it was going to break and didn’t feel good in the hands. The blade was good though but I don’t know how long it would last.
