A little pricey but excellent quality!

I’m so thrilled to be able to get these Belgian chocolates through Amazon. They are not cheap, but they are a family treat on special occasions. These were purchased for Thanksgiving and everyone loved them. The quality chocolate is very good and the mixed assortment (milk, white, and dark chocolate) provide a variety that pleased everyone.

These are rich, flavorful, lusciously delicious chocolates. I try to be satisfied with other chocolates but they simply don’t compare. Got them for myself and will be purchasing more as gifts in the future. Highly recommended!

This are good chocolates especially for value.Some of the flavors try too hard to be exotic.

So glad we can find this in the US. My hubby first got a box a few years ago when he was on a business trip in Europe and I’ve been obsessed since!

Expensive but a real gourmet Belgian treat

I just returned from Amsterdam, and at the airport, purchased a box of Leonidas assorted Chocolates to bring home. I had never enjoyed this brand, but the Leonidas purchased in Amsterdam was fresh, the chocolate exteriors were creamy, and overall, I was impressed with every single morsel in the box. I found Leonidas on Amazon and purchased another box, expecting the same experience. Wrong! Delivery was quick, the box was extremely well packaged (though S&H is costly) but the chocolates were old, the exterior coating was hard and crumbly, lacking the richness in mouth feel that a fresh chocolate delivers. In fact, unlike the Amsterdam Leonidas, the contents had crumbly bits of chocolate around and about the individual pieces. To make matters worse, I accidently ordered two boxes, and even though the second shipping box remains unopened, one is not permitted to return the product. I am, therefore, out $150, stuck with two pounds of this unappetizing and expensive Belgian chocolate. Certainly not the way to develop a loyal following for the product. If my Amazon purchase experience matched that of Amsterdam, I would have been buying these boxes for decades. Oh well....
