Live streaming to facebook from 4G
I wasn't confident if this device was going to work for what I wanted to do. I do wildlife photography and occasionally want to live stream to facebook. Before this device, I had to bring a laptop with me, open up facebook, setup a post, use an HDMI encoder into my laptop, and stream using OVS. That entire process really took the fun out of the experience, and practically guaranteed I'd spend 10 minutes setting up before hand... and with wildlife, that's not so easy. This device requires you to be fairly technically savvy (not a problem for me). I'd encourage you to go to ddmalltech's forums, register, and download their manual for the device. Get the user manual corresponding to HEV-2KW, and read it... before you buy it. It will expect you to be competent enough with wifi networking to connect to the device's network, configure it to connect to your network (a phone wifi hotspot for me), and then connect to the device when it's on that network you just configured it to connect to. With a verizon galaxy phone, I can see the devices connected to my hotspot and their IP, you need to be able to then open up that IP in your phone's browser. If that all sounds greek to you, this device is a waste of your time. If not, read on...The phone supports youtube live and facebook live, in the sense that it supports RTMP streaming and allows you to provide a stream URL and a stream key. It *DOES NOT* have some magical integration with facebook that allows you to automatically create a post and stream to it... that would have been nice. So you still need to make a post. Facebook Live (and I assume many other platforms) allow you to use a persistent stream key. So you only need to configure this device one time for where to stream, so that's nice. The downside is you still need to make a facebook post for your stream. On facebook you can do "upcoming events", which isn't ideal for random wildlife. So for me, I'm resigned to using my phone's browser and making a post and streaming from this device to that post... which is better than my previous setup.I've only tested this device out a few times, but my expectation, based on other reviews, is that it will work properly going forward. If it does not, I'll edit this review. So - key takeaways that are relevant to me:1. It can work with your phone, though not easily2. You don't need to constantly reconfigure the device3. You still need to preplan your Facebook live posting, and you can't do that on this device

Truly wonderful streaming encoder in a tiny package!
This encoder is absolutely amazing. Once you figure out how to configure it it works like a charm. High quality video streaming to Youtube is what I am using it for. Allows you to use the camera mic or take audio from another source, such as the mixing board. You can adjust video and audio quality. Lots of other settings too that I haven't even gotten into yet.You take it to another location on another day and all you have to do is plug it into power, have your WIFI ready, which I always use a hotspot on my cheap phone, and it streams very nicely just by pressing one button on this encoder. No setup or configurating necessary. It remembers.I emailed support for help setting it up and got a quick response from Olivia with the exact details I needed. Not only that but she keeps in touch asking me if everything is going OK and if I need help with anything. She's great.I couldn't be happier with this encoder.

HEV-2KW
I wanted a product very small to live stream outdoor events.I stumbled on this encoder HEV-2KW on the internet and decided to try it although it was a little pricey.I had some minor problems with the encoder at first but customer support was very helpful. My opinion about the unit is that its designed for the professional who knows what they want and what theyare doing. Its a good product and I would buy another as a backup in case I loose this one.I would not be honest if I do not rate it with five stars.

This didn’t work for me at all. Admittedly I have low tech skills. I returned it

very impressed.
I ordered this unit because I wanted something that would allow me to take my Canon camera and broadcast it on Facebook. This tiny encoder works flawlessly. Streaming is smooth and it hasn't given me one bit of trouble and has excellent picture quality. Very impressed.

Does not stream with Gopro Hero9 Black (Media Mod, HDMI Out)
For livestreaming I want to use it for my gopro hero 9 in a media mod cage, which has a (micro) hdmi out. This delivers only a black screen on a RTMP youtube live stream :-(
