My old hood struts went out on my 05 4runner, I bought these as a replacement they work so good. It was a very easy assembly I definitely believe you get more for your money. Closes very soft like more of a high end product. You definitely get your moneys worth. It was a soft closing product.

Fit my 03 4runner front hood connection points perfectly. Hardest part of installation was getting my old ones off!

Used for a 2005 Toyota 4 runner. A novice here on car matinance and it took roughly 1 hour to install. Small instruction card was unclear and basic. Video was not very clear at all how to pry the metal latch. This is what took a long time to figure out. Basically you need a very thin flat head screw driver and force to move the metal latch along the grooves about 6mm & do it very very slowly & steady till you can see an opening. You can't move too far left or right making it move out of place & if you do you'll need needle nose pliers to move the metal latch back in the right place. Once my brother figure it out then it was straight forward to install the struts. Hood lifted good & did it 2x. Hope it will last.

Easy to install

Did the job exactly as described replacing my old struts with these new ones in less than 10 mins. Well worth the money!

These seem to work fine but a word of warning: They are MUCH stronger than the original pistons on our 2011 Honda Pilot. So much so, I could only install one new one, paired with one of the original, worn pistons.
