HoneyTree's Imitation Honey, Sugar Free, 12-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 12)

This tastes like actual honey. It has actual calories also but feels healthier and my blood sugars don’t drop. The texture is thick and it works wonderfully with my Greek yogurt! It’s a red food on noom however! Not a diet food. Not low cal. I think honey has 60 cals & this has 50. There is one that only has 30 calories and that is called harmless honey so I will try that next.

I was overjoyed to find this product on your available items! I have used this product to make low-sugar pecan pies for several years, but suddently I could not find it at my local Wal-Mart Supercenter, as they discontinued the stocking of Honey Tree Sugar Free Honey. Without this imitation honey, I could not successfully make the pecan pies. Now I can continue to make the pies for years to come. Here is the recipe:3 eggs (well beaten); 1/2 cup sugar;1 cup HT Sugar Free Honey; 1/2 stick butter (melted);1/2 tsp. salt; 1 tsp. vanilla;1 cup chopped pecans; and 1 - 9" unbaked pie shellMix (by hand) the beaten eggs, sugar, honey, butter (or margarine), salt, vanilla and chopped pecans in medium sized bowl. Pour into pie shell (making sure it has no cracks, holes, or splits in it) and bake at 325 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Remove from oven, cool and serve.

I test healthy recipes for a national website. Honey is a wonderful additive for food, but it's broken down as a simple sugar by the body, so we have to use it VERY sparingly. At least we DID have to use it sparingly! This tastes just like real honey...and there's no sugar. It's the best tasting honey substitute we've ever tried. It also works great in recipes we've make both hot and cold. We like it so much, we're no buying it by the case.There is ONE important thing to remember. It is sweetened with sugar alcohols (which is neither sugar or alcohol...but that's another story). For most of the people, that's no problem. However, some people will get an upset stomach by eating sugar alcohol. Just be aware of that one potential side effect.

It's the best sugar free honey...actually the only sugar free honey that really looks and tastes like honey. Walmart was selling it for a while. They stopped so I finally went online accessing the company who manufactured the only jar I was eating very stingily and was so afraid to finish. I'm so glad I found you. I've taken a jar to my daughters to have for my use there and I've given a jar to a fellow diabetic for Christmas. I've also already eaten a jar after finishing the very last one I was savoring before I found you. Thanks!!!

This is maltitol, and tastes just like honey. Most honey recipes I use don't require cooking, just mixing and sometimes freezing. But I can cook with it place of honey, too. I regularly make granola (have to heat honey to near boiling) and granola bars (have to boil the honey) and this works great with both. I've used this brand of imitation honey for 5 or 6 years now. It can make you get loose stools if you eat a lot of it, so there's an added incentive to control how much you eat.

Discovered sugar free honey a few years ago. Half of our family is diabetic and this was so welcome. We make walnut potica and had not made it for a couple of years after the diabetes diagnosis. Now, we celebrate with potica even when it's not a holiday! Very good purchase. (Potica is like a walnut honey strudel...best pastry in the entire world when my mom makes it.)

I like to use honey as a sweetener in my morning coffee, but don't want the carbs or the calories. I was dubious about this product when I first saw it on Amazon, so I bought one jar, just to try it. Wow! I immediately ordered a case after the very first try! Don't know how they managed to get not only the taste, but even the flow of real honey, but they did. I have now been buying it (by the case of 12) for several years. Great stuff I heartily recommend it.
