Text in English and Arabic with many colour photographs. The plants represented in the book were collected from Abha and the surrounding areas between 1977 and 1982 at elevations ranging from 1000 to 28000 metres above sea level. The main objective of the book is to portray native plants in their natural settings and to specify the ecology and environment of each plant species. From the several hundred plants collected, only 160 representative species have been selected. The main taxonomical features, ecology, flowering time, economic importance, and both scientific and Arabic names of each species are recorded. Read more
