YES, collet nuts are the same size for all Dremels and other brand rotary tools such as Milwaukee.

Can this be used on the Dmel 7300

I am not sure, but I think so. The product description states the ones it does not work with, and the 7300 is not on that list. It fits my Black and Decker, and the various colletts allow for me to use just about any accessory made for any rotary tool, and also twist drill bits. I hope this helps

Will these work in the 4200 with the "EZ Change" system?

I own a basic 2 speed dremel so I can't answer with 100% assurance but my guess is NO. At the very least, the collet "nut" that is supplied will not work on your unit (is in fact replaced by the EZ change system). Also, the dremel website says the EZ402 mandrel is for use with "...exclusive EZ lock accessories.".

regarding the nut's threads, do they begin at the edge, or 1/2" down inside (on the end you screw on with)??

They begin 1/2" down If you are talking about the nut with the female threads.

Toolbox spares.

I have several Dremel tools. These are perfect toolbox spares. I'd rather get back to work than worry about the "if/whens" of sourcing parts.

They fit a Craftsman but are unmarked

This collet set just arrived (March 11, 2025). My first concern was that they would not work in my Craftsman V20 rotary tool. As it happens, they fit my tool just fine. The first problem I had with these is they are not marked. When comparing them to each other, it is obvious which one is which size. However, they may not always be within proximity of each other or may get mixed in with other pieces. It would be nice if each collet had the size indicated on it somewhere. That's my review for now. When I actually use them with bits, I'll update this review.
