Park Avenue Decorative Architectural Trellis

I love the design but the quality is not good. The wood in places is rough and it appears to be put together with glue and staples. I feel like it won't hold up very well in the weather. I expected more for the price. I contacted the seller: they answered promptly and offered a prepaid return label if the trellis was defective or damaged. I am keeping it rather than going through the trouble of returning it. I coated it with a wood preservative and if I can find some nails thin and long enough I will try to do a little bit of a rebuild.

I purchased two of these trellises. They are very attractive but, one black metal rods was loose to falling out, on each trellis. I fixed this problem with sturdy glue. Also, I added a coat of oil stain/varnish before installing the trellises outside.
