Best pocket knife I've owned
I love Victorinox knives. I replaced my old Victorinox Camper, which I used HEAVILY for over 10 years. I wasn't nice about it either. I got it when I was about 11, and it finally got lost when I was about 22. Me and my friends use to joke about how it wouldn't break, rust, or wear out. It was almost kind of creepy. Finally, the scales popped off, and I glued them back on. Here are the things I like about Vic knives:a. Amazing polished steel. It helps in cutting and makes them resist rust better than any knife I've seen. Things seem to rust in those little crevices created by non-polished steel other brands employ.b. Sharpen easily. It's weird. They sharpen easily but the blades don't really wear out. Go figure...c. Carry comfortably.d. Have MORE than just a blade. Especially this one. It has a TON of uses. Sometimes, just having a blade isn't enough. And we've all seen people use them for screwdrivers - a disaster and big NO NO. I didn't even do this when I was a kid. Don't do it! Vics have screwdrivers on them.e. THE SAW. This thing is no joke. I've cut nice-sized branches and cedar trees with my camper, and I know this will work as well.f. The alox scales. They provide a nice grip.g. Beefed up tools on the alox knives. The tools are somewhat larger and sturdier, especially the blade.I think this thing could probably clean a deer if it wanted to. I really think it could be done. It will be nice for small game, too. It can do almost anything you want within reason. This is the last pocket knife I'll buy for a very very very long time...maybe forever. I've had Buck, Gerber, pretty much everything. They haven't quite measured up...they wear out. They rust. I even had a Leatherman SuperTool. The tools are totally inaccessible and the tool is bulky. The steel rusts like crazy...what a pain. It weighs like a pound! This thing is nice and light and durable. LOVE IT!!!

Great edc in a sheeple freindly package.
Mine came perfect. I inspected it heavily and found no blemishes. But it suffers from the same issue my Field master has. The blade will hit the inside back spring most people will not notice and I think victorinox has addressed this once before and it used to be much worse but it is still there just not as bad. Its really hard to see but if you let it drop close and take the blade back out you can see a tiny mark about 1mm from the tip. None the less it is still a great knife plus really easy to sharpen litterly takes a couple minutes not the best edge holder but it's fine for most daily applications.A lot of my other knives take a while to sharpen in comparesion some even multiple attemps and somtimes hours if it needs to be re-edged. Never had to re edge a victorinox yet, just sharpen it when its dull. I bought this because well I really wanted a Alox type with a saw. This is replacing a field master I have been using for about a year. The field master is fine but I think the alox looks and feels better. I bought the cadet a very small package lacking a saw though. My new farmer will go into my pocket a lot. The main blade has a thicker spine and a wider blade compared to the field master. So it deffently stout for its size. Its not as stout as the trekker and lacks a locking blade but if your not a fool with it you should be fine. All in all I think its great looks and feels like it will last. I'll update as neccisary if I find something wrong with it. The knife it self is not as big as I thought its actually really compact.

Excellent daily carry/ gentlemens folder. This knife goes everywhere, does it all.
This is an extremely well build and durable knife, an incredible value. The knife is full flat ground and just a tad thick, so you can slice tomatoes and do some medium carving. The pins holding the knife together are remarkably strong. I've had a few of these knives, and on an older one I tested the blade in a variety of realistic prying situations, and it still has no noticeable wobble. The saw is fantastic, and will allow you to take samples of any wood you see growing out in the brush. The bottle opener is good, I have taken to sharpening the flat side of it so it doubles as a chisel. Very helpful, and doesn't depreciate the bottle opener, just requires a bit of extra awareness. The can opener is a dream. Extremely well engineered, and anyone can use it to open a can. The awl is an essential tool for me, and I couldn't live without it. It is surprisingly useful in the city as well, not to mention one time when M'Lady bought a belt and needed an extra hole in it. The finish on the handle is well worth the extra few dollars, whatever it is. Not only does it make the knife feel more solid, the knife is more solid. It will never chip, crack, or fall off like the plastic ones so infamously do. Overall, if you clean, oil, and otherwise take care of this knife, it should last a lifetime and is a worthy companion on any business meeting, or camping trip.
