I use it for a SWSA rotator with a 3/8 eye bolt. It is VERY solid and makes polar alignment easy, consistent and easy to hold. It's a little heavy. Get one - you're welcome.Mine was a "lightly used" model, but it was bashed up pretty bad. It's only cosmetic, but it definitely wasn't "Used like new" by any means. Still works great.

I didn't appreciate the excuses made by USPS with the delivery and so I got it approximately 2 weeks after the designated arrival date.However, this tripod is of high quality. The legs seems longer than usual but with the double clamp capability, they are very sturdy. It weighs just as heavy as most wooden tripod but the straps make carry easy.

I have had Site Pro products before and they usually give you a good "bang" for the buck. This tripod is no exception. I like the larger than normal head and the double bolts on the feet. It is a little heavier than expected.

Solid, well constructed tripod. Use it for my 6 inch F6 Newtonian telescope that weighs about 16 lbs loaded. I have a Stellarvue Alt AZ Mount (M002C) with extension column that fits the tripod perfectly. Rock steady combo.

Awesome sturdy and solid tripod except when it arrived, box was in bad shape to where the tripod was exposed. Mounting table was also scuffed up even though it has a cover plate probably caused by the Allen wrench that's under the cover. Still worth the money.

The legs are made of a soft wood like pine. They cracked within a few days of using. Dont be decieved by the use of the word fiberglass - the only thing that isnt wood are the plastic mounting points and the plate.

I'd you're looking for tripod legs, these work great!

The top mounting surface is round and made of metal. The three star on sturdiness is because the clamps are plastic, heavy hand could cause breakage if not careful.
