I recently purchased the small Le Creuset Cast Iron Signature Skillet (the one that measures 6.3 inches or 1/2 quart in size). I wanted a silicone handle cover for the skillet, rather than trying to use a pot holder with this pan. I also was hoping for the silicone handle cover to closely match the length of the actual handle and not be so long, that you may not get a good grip on the pan when picking it up. While Le Creuset does make silicone handle covers, they are all the longer length, and so I took my chance and ordered this silicone handle cover instead.While the length of this handle cover is perfect, and even the shape looks like it should be the perfect fit for that particular sized Le Creuset skillet, it does not fit, as when you go to slip it on the handle, it is not quite as wide as it looks. So I did end up having to purchase the long handled Le Creuset silicone cover instead anyway.The quality looks great and the grip too on this holder. If you owned the Lodge pan I would have no reservations about recommending it. I honestly am writing this review for the Le Creuset owner though who wants that smaller length silicone handle for their pan and sees this as an option, because it is not going to work for Le Creuset.

This handle fits snugly onto my cast iron skillet, and doesn't move around when I move it. While it won't block all of the heat of a hot pan, it does help mitigate it enough to avoid injuries. I would gladly purchase this again for all my other current and future cast iron supplies

This fits the smaller Lodge cast iron pans perfectly. I haven’t had any issues with it getting too hot to handle. It hasn’t melted when using. I highly recommend.

Works as intended. Good price. Just wish Lodge made this in the U.S.A. We need to get off the Chinese tip. Four stars, only b/c we need to divest from China. So sad, too bad.

Bought three of these for me and my daughters. We love them! They are perfect fits for our small Lodge cast iron skillets! They look tiny when you receive them, but they’re perfect!

I have an 8” pan and this handle cover is a little big. It moves around a bit. So not very safe when I’m removing the pan from the stove…but it’s fine while I’m cooking on the stove.

I have the larger version for my larger skillet; I ordered the small skillet so I knew I wanted this since they are size specific. Slide on/off handle easily and definitely helps keep your hands safe. Clean up with soap and water when needed. Excellent quality, I’ve had my original for too many years to count!
