I love it! This umbrella is stupendous, just as pictured. The dome is nice and big, perfect for sunny days. I haven't tried it in the rain so I'll update this review once I do. The construction is lovely and utilizes quality materials. Overall, I highly recommend this brolly.The lace trim is solid, not all that soft but you don't need soft lace on an umbrella. In fact, you want stiffer lace so it'll hold its shape, and that's exactly what this umbrella has. There is a black mesh over the red pinstripe that one may not notice in the listing image, but it only serves to augment the design. The bow is black satin and is well secured to the canopy.The opener is automatic, activated by a button above the handle. It opens the umbrella with one smooth motion. The opening doesn't click into place, rather, is held by tension. The umbrella is held closed by a silver tab.The closure on the outside of the canopy is velcro as opposed to a snap, a small detail but not terribly important.The ferrule (the top of the umbrella pole that sticks out above the canopy) is metal-tipped and is reinforced by a ruffled circle of fabric (a really nice detail! See the attached photo).Overall, the construction is really solid. I wouldn't lean my whole weight against the thing, but it can make a nice casual, fashionable walking stick.The handle is goose-neck (part of why I bought this guy) and is wrapped in stitched leather-like material. I'm not certain that this wrap is genuine leather, but an umbrella handle is one of the few places that I make an exception for faux leather.Overall, again, I highly recommend this umbrella! I don't know how it performs in the rain but it has a wonderfully broad and deep canopy perfect for harsh sunlight. I really just opened the umbrella (ha umbrella pun) so I'll update this review when I've weather-tested it more.

This was just perfect for me! The design is elegant and fit me well. Its sturdy and well made but lightweight. I like the gooseneck handle to hang it from my bag or arm when its closed. its not too huge, its sort of like a pretty teacup cover you instead of a flat when opened design. For me it made a perfect sun parasol. I have not tried this in the rain yet. Im glad i accidentally ordered two so I can give one away as a gift.

Exquisite product. Has wonderful coverage even though Im 5'2. From what I've seen, other comments say it works great in the rain, which I have yet to try. Product looks exactly like the picture shown and reviewers pictures. Not too gaudy or overbearing; perfect for sunny or rainy days since the quality is excellent. Even though I'm naturally tan, I suffer from sensitive skin and hereditary skin conditions and I learned that protection is a requirement. Very glad I bought this product. Trust me when I say it, you won't be disappointed.

I used this in a thunderstorm with quite a bit of wind and it held against the wind. It gets dry pretty fast too. I was worried that the bow and lace would make it retain water and dry slower, but it didn't. It is adorable and great quality. I especially love the feel of the handle and easy open and close.

This seems like it will do its job (as an umbrella) though I bought it as a costume accessory- that said it works equally well for my purposes. My only criticism is that I’d read the handle was “cushioned.” It isn’t. It seems sturdy

This is the most unique parasol ever! I wanted something pretty and a little goth. It didn’t disappoint! People who see it says it reminds them of Mary Poppins.Being a redhead and having fair skin, I cannot tolerate being in the sun for too long, without feeling ill and burning. I love to read at the pool or my deck and this parasol makes it possible. So much more sun coverage than a hat, alone.

I bought this for my Mothers Funeral Service. The quality of construction and materials is amazing. This is a superior product., And for those who are complaining that this is an umbrella and NOT a parasol, read the dimensions and look at the pics before blaming this product. Opens and closes seamlessly. Nothing broken or missing. This is a superior product and wonderful company. Will be ordering more products.

It protecc, it strong and poke, Im sure you could Attacc with it.... But most importantly, its cute and people ask me all the time where I got it. Gave it to my friend on medfair for her to use (gonna rain) and dressed her up in all my goth queen attire, made her a vampire and people absolutely loved our mistress of the night! It was storming and there is some heavy winds, I live in oklahoma, we need srurdy umbrellas. It didnt even flinch.
