I glazed a bisque earthenware bowl with deep horizontal ridges on the outside and after shaking well, applied 3 thick coats. It was fired at cone 06. I’m not exaggerating to say this was the ugliest item I’ve ever taken out of the kiln, the primary color was a horrible and dull army green with very few blue speckles. The best area was the bottom of the bowl where the glaze puddled but this was only average at best. This glaze bears NO resemblance to the picture and looks a lot like really nasty pond scum.
