Excellent bit of kit for adding Ethernet to an IPad or Surface Pro device

Works well, but it limited to 5 Gbps (USB3.0 Gen 1 SuperSpeed). MacOS System Information.app describes it as follows on my MacBook Pro 16" (Intel):USB3.2 Hub: Product ID: 0x0411 Vendor ID: 0x0bda (Realtek Semiconductor Corp.) Version: 31.00 Serial Number: 0013000001 Speed: Up to 5 Gb/s Manufacturer: Realtek Location ID: 0x01240000 / 17 Current Available (mA): 900 Current Required (mA): 112 Extra Operating Current (mA): 0and in my testing with iperf3 it achieved 944 Mbits/sec.The USB A ports do not expose any power information (as in QC3, USB-PD, Battery Charging 1.2, etc) to the devices, so fast charging your phone is unlikely via this hub. That said, I have a USB load tester and I was able to draw 16.8 Watts through this hub before my laptop disabled the port it was attached to for drawing too much power. This is consistent with how much I can draw from the laptop's port directly without the hub in between.So while it doesn't help downstream devices know about the power available, it doesn't do anything to interfere with it either.Overall I'm happy with it. I only wish it was 10 Gbps (USB3.0 Gen2 "SuperSpeed" or USB3.1 "SuperSpeedPlus").

Bought a new laptop that only has type c ports.I’m an iPhone and Apple user so I have no type c cables at home.Friend of mine told me about this product.I wasn’t sure which one to buy as there were so many to choose from with various prices.I chose this product, it was cheap and I wasn’t sure what to expect.Wow. What can I say. 10/10.It looks great, is made from good quality material, feels weighty and most importantly does what it’s meant to do.I can now plug in 3 devices via this port and can run multiple tasks at the same time.

This product is excellent value for money, easy to use and faultless design. It allows for a fast ethernet connection for your USB-C smartphone or laptop and also allows for 3 USB-A to be plugged into your phone or laptop, great for big data transfers or a new smartphone or laptop.Well done to the seller and would highly recommend.

Easy to set up and got my laptop connected online for work. No issues with it so far (after a few months).

This device adds some much needed functionality to an otherwise excellent piece of kit. The networking feature works flawlessly, and the USB feature has allowed the Surface to act as a total replacement for the previous Laptop, connecting it to an Epson scanner.One minor potential issue is that in use as a network connection it becomes a little hotter than I might have expected. I do not expect this to become a big problem though as the casing is made from aluminium.Overall a very worthwhile purchase.

the item connected to the internet straight away and gave good results but only after a very short time it disconnected and then reconnected after a few seconds.this disconnection kept happening at various points while using it ranging from a few minutes to about 10 minutes.during this the only usb3 that worked as it should do was the middle one.the other 2 usbs worked on and off,i had a mouse connected in one and hard drive in the other but the constant disconnecting left them totally unusable.i like a few others checked the drivers and they were the latest ones,i even installed earlier drivers to see if it was a issue with the lates driver but it wasn’t.the device looks the part with metal body and a solid feel.

This adapter is very useful for working on computers with WiFi, keyboard and trackpad issues and to download drivers and do other updates to help solve other problems. The extra USB ports can support an external mouse and keyboard when needed. A very useful device.

Optisch und technisch ein sehr gutes Produkt. Wird vom Macintosh Betriebssystem sofort erkannt.
