Top end well engineered bit of kit
Combined this with the Trent monopod and it works well. Foot is stable and can be used with a head straight onto the foot for a low level camera stand. With the monopod I liked a number of features. Firstly fold the legs up and it is more of a genuine monopod should you want total mobility. Secondly unscrew the ball retainer and the foot and monopod give you around 30degrees of movement each way but with a much more stable base. With a small weight camera the monopod and foot combo are almost stable enough to dispense with the tripod if you don't want the weight. Folds up compact and as a quick simple short monopod you can also attach the centre section of your tripod. Nicely made item - precision engineering and lovely feel

Excellent build quality, you will not be disappointed!
Ideal for getting low down shots just wish the ball joint had a knurled grip! Build quality is sturdy and fits easily in camera bag. For me an essential piece of equipment.

Great foot
Great addition to my tripod setup. Heavier than thought but this makes good stable monopod foot

GreatProduct
Really well made product and the ball joint allows controlled movement in the monopod

Ideal instead of carrying a tripod
Although only used once at the moment, I found it really good, although being on uneven ground I found it best to put my foot on on one of the feet just to stabilise it further. Easy to carry in camera bag and of course much lighter than a full tripod.

Poor Quality Example
Was really disappointing to see the legs damaged, lots of scratches and marks plus one of the legs controls is stuck down and unusable

Doesn't lock
It gives the impression of being well constructed which it is apart from the fact the screw holding the monopod to the foot is not long enough. (Other monopod foot stabilizers have longer screws! )My monopod loosens at the slightest touch! To ensue it locks I have placed a small gromet onto the screw and this has helped a great deal. I do not trust it to remain locked. I have contacted 3 Legged thing about this. Given the quality of their other products I fail to understand how this minor, yet important detail, has been overlooked

Good but flawed
Great sturdy little stand but legs fold the wrong way so you need to detach from camera if or it is very bulky. If you have an arca swiss plate attached to your camera then you need to remove it before attaching this. Annoying if you are outdoors as you risk losing the little screw that secures the arca plate to the camera.Should have been able to attach to arca plate and legs should have folded the other way. Poor design, not the fault of amazon.Juts buying into the great 3 legged thing product range but this disappointed me
