Hi guys this is Cleo my gorgeous domestic long hair baby. I’ve used so many different brushes in the past but with no success. She doesn’t tolerate them and there is usually only superficial brushing of her coat. I was also super concerned about her vomiting up hair balls as her coat was shedding all the time. I’d stroke her and bits of hair would come out.So i thought why not try this as the reviews and some of the pictures were too good to be true. Imagine my surprise when she tolerated a 30 minute brushing session . I attached a picture for those of you who like me are feeling skeptical or in two minds.For the brush it’s easy to hold, not too heavy and despite the brush looking sharp and sinister it’s not the case. I have arthritic hands and wrists and managed to use it with ease.Cleo purred through the entire session and I got a ginormous amount of undercoat shed hair. I am happy for her coat looks shiny, there’s no signs of dandruff and when I stroke her there’s still hair coming up but i can only assume this will lessen the more frequently I’m able to brush her. The comb has two faces one larger spaced rake for tangles and knots(I didn’t need to use this) and a more tightly packed rake which is used as a dematting comb for brushing the undercoat. The rake section is long enough to get quite deep into the undercoat. Cleo weighs 5.5kg so I only had to tilt the comb at a slight angle allowing a few mm’s of the rake into her undercoat get the results I did.Whilst the comb isn’t sharp, it is in a rake design so id still like to advise caution to be gentle using minimal force when brushing especially over bony, sensitive and exposed areas.So there you have It. Only regret- why oh why did I not come across this sooner as it would have saved her a lot of discomfort with the weekly hairball vomiting and me some distress as to seeing her like that. I shall see how we get along and update the review in a few weeks.In short- I got the pink one it’s super cute. Easy to clean. Easy to use with a nice ergonomically designed handle. The brush/comb as a whole is not too heavy and even with my bad hands/wrists I was able to hold and manoeuvre it easily. Good quality product that will last at an amazing price. (Full Review)For any more proof that this comb really works then look at the pictures!!I couldn't believe it and the cat was a little confused also 🙀I have always used a flea comb for all her grooming up til now and with time and patience from both myself and Fluffy (who is still surprisingly Fluffy after all that extra hair came out, so no name change needed just now) I have learnt to separate all the matted/knotted hair and she has learnt to tolerate it as I worked out a way over time of keeping it pain free.As a true test I fully combed her the day before with the flea comb and felt quite happy with myself that I got the majority of it out.How wrong I was! After using this comb as directed you can see the amazing results for yourself and this was only about ⅔ of it as I did abit more later.I couldn't stop myself saying "Wow" and "That's Amazing" inbetween the gasps of astonishment at how efficient this comb is. Genuine amazement with a smile to go with it.My advice for a happy pet as this can still have the potential to be briefly painful as it pulls on a knot:There are 2 sets of rounded blades (not sharp at all) and to start with we need to use the side with 9 on as they are spaced wider apart. Clever design.Smoothly and gently pull the comb through the fur importantly only in the direction in grows, if you feel any slight resistance then place you fingers below the comb in a scissor format to hold the fur and prevent the pulling action from tugging at your pets skin. Then continue to pull the comb until it removes the knot or matted fur. It will do that easily. This will ensure a happy animal. Then continue to use until all knots or matted hair are seperated.The 2nd side has 17 blades and will lift out any remaining trapped hair leaving a perfectly groomed smooth coat.As soon as I finished using it I went straight back onto Amazon and ordered another one to send to another family member for her white retriever who moults 365days a year and will really benefit from using this comb to reduce the hair left all over the house.There are many different combs of this type to choose from. Some cheaper and others Alot more expensive. I can't be sure they all work as good as this one but for what it does then this one is definately worth getting. Good size and a solid well built comb that should last for years. Certainly does what it says on the box. Moulting has started for my little Dolly and over the years it's been a pain as those who have Cats know. Well, this dematting comb is the best thing l've ever brought for Dolly, the days of tangles and sometimes hours of grooming with no effect with various brushes and combs have gone. Five minutes of combing, with no pulling on tangles brought so much fluff out she looked half the size and her coat looked so smooth.I have given her a good pampering a couple of times a day since l got the comb and she looks beautiful and l'm happy not to have balls of fluff all over. I would totally recommend.

After looking at the review for people using this on cats, I cant help wondering how it doesn’t seem like they are ripping out there fur?? Sure its too rough for a cat? My cat hates it, he cries even when I do it softly?? Am I using it wrong? Just seems to heavy duty for a cat!

Great comb for deshesing of dogs hairy coat. Specially in the summer when it is important to bring it out with you and use it while at the park with your pet. Then it will look make the green grass look hairy. Just be gentle with your pet!!
