Good Directions 999191 Lazy Hill Farm Designs Sovereign Cedar Mailbox Post, White

This is an extremely high-quality, beautifully designed mailbox post, compatible with several different traditional architectural styles. It has a very classic look, the materials (white-stained cedar, paintable) are first-class, it was easy to put together and install, and we couldn't be happier with it. It's perfect for a large-size standard mailbox.My only suggestion is that the supplier make sure to clearly label both boxes as part of a two-package shipment: In our case, the post arrived first, by itself, and the box had come open. There wasn't any "1 of 2" label to indicate that the other pieces were supposed to come in a different box, so we had no way of knowing that some or all of them weren't simply missing. Although the post itself seemed to be fine, we returned that package, just to be on the safe side. We contacted Amazon, and the manufacturer was very responsive, promptly sending out a replacement order. In the meantime, though, the additional parts from the first order arrived in a second box -- which WAS labeled "2 of 2" -- the day after we sent back the first post, and we sent that back as well.All ended well, and we couldn't be happier with the product and follow-up by both Amazon and from Good Directions, but a certain amount of unnecessary confusion could've been saved if both packages had been clearly labeled as part of a two-package shipment.

Lovely to look at, but the door hinge rusted out in two years. We are so disappointed. It cannot be fixed.

Very sturdy product because it is made of wood, not plastic, and comes painted and ready to assemble.

Great post. Very sturdy and easy to assemble. I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars because the white stain was much more faint than I expected. It looked like a coat of primer rather than a solid or semi transparent stain. I had to paint it. Came out great but would suggest ordering it natural and just paint it white yourself. If I had to, I would order it again

didn't like digging a 30" post hole, but that had to be done.This is a handsome product, one of the best-looking in the neighborhood. We won't know for a while how well it holds up, but are very happy with it now. Assembly was easy.

We also only received a post with nothing else. The picture was very misleading. Who orders a piece of wood for $150?? Even if the arm and decorative cap came with it, it's still a huge rip off!! The product description said that the material type was vinyl. There is not one piece of vinyl on the product. We will be returning it immediately!
