Fixed Gas Cap light issue
Why did you pick this product vs others?:If your Gas Cap light is on on your Jeep this is what you probably need. Fixed mine very easily with this part. Wasn't hard at all to installFits 2012 Jeep Wrangler

Worked for me - 08 Wrangler
I just installed this which took about 1 minute, and then cleared my diagnostic codes. Code has not returned (yet), 08 Wrangler (Sahara). Its so awesome not having the "check engine" light on anymore!

Fixed my check engine light and gas cap indicator on dash
Very happy with this, easy install. Well worth it . 17 wrangler.

This part did not fix the check engine light on my 2017 Pacifica
This part showed up as a match on Amazon for my 2017 Chrysler Pacifica which had a check engine light on. The original code indicated evaporative emissions system leak detected.I removed the original part and visually compared it with the new part. They both looked identical externally. The old part had some pieces that slide around and make noise and you could see it through the large hole on the black plastic side. The new part is constructed differently internally and there are no moving pieces.With the new part the check engine light was still on and indicated very small leak. I have since ordered the Mopar OEM replacement part from rockauto.com. That part is same as original, with sliding pieces inside. After installing that the check engine light cleared.Maybe this part would work in other vehicle applications, but for my 2017 Chrysler Pacifica it did not clear the light.
