Mix this with corn litter to reduce dust
We mix a bag of these with a bag of corn based litter (like World's Best) and it really helps keep the dust down. The cats don't seem to mind the mixture and it works in our regular litter boxes and the Litter Robot. It also doesn't seem to track quite as bad with the mixture. Please don't think I said it doesn't track - it definitely does track - just not as much as the WB tracks by itself. It doesn't really have much of a smell, but it does give the used litter just a bit of an odd odor. Not necessarily a bad odor, just not the same as "regular" litter.Anyway, overall, we have purchased this several times as it works well for our needs.

Cat safety
Clay hardens when it connects liquid what do you think it does to the insides of your fur babies. Doesn’t stick to the insides of your cat

No Dust
No dust what so ever. Great about clumping and holds odors well. I'll never switch again.

Tracks all over
Though it is a clumping litter it is also a messy disaster. My cats had this everywhere. If you want to feel like you are walking on the beach this is the litter for you.

Better than most others but still not fantastic
Things I like about this litter: lightweight; economical; clumps well around feces and small urine deposits.Things I’m so-so about: the smell, it’s not terrible but it is distinct and when it mixes with the cat odor it’s more noticeable. (Still smells better than the corn cob version if this litter.) It does track some but the annoying part is that it’s fine so it gets into all the crevices near the litter box and if your cat is less than strategic like mine and happens to get a paw moist, it’s sticks really well to paws and now for sure tracks everywhere. What I really don’t like: if your cat likes to pee in the same spot, is a heavy urinator, or if you just can’t get to the little box every day - it doesn’t clump, it becomes this large moist mass that is not fun to clean and a pain to try scoop out of the litter box.

Natural smell, minimal dust, young and old cat approved!
Being a first time cat owner I LOVE this litter. When I knew I was getting a cat I told myself I would not be using the clay kind or the silicone or whatever that wasn’t natural. So I was already looking for a natural approach to litter and this was it. I went out on a whim because there’re many options out there. But luckily this did it for my first cat and second cat as well. Both were outside cats one from the streets and one from the barn and they both adapted right away.I never had clay litter before so I couldn’t compare. But this walnut litter has minimal dust if any at all. It does seem finer but not like sand. It has this natural smell and natural shell color to it. It’s natural smelling almost like lumbar. With one cat and one litter box you could have this up to six weeks with daily scoop and it wont smell. But I prefer to dump entire thing every four weeks with daily scoop. With two cats one litter box I use it up to 3weeks and dump the entire thing. With two cats and one box you will definitely notice a ammonia or poop smell within 2 weeks it’s not overwhelming or overpowering it just kind of lingers in the box and or area of the box. This prompted me to buy a second litter box. So I suggest 2 litter boxes for 2 cats that way one is not overused and you won’t smell anything with daily scooping. People wouldn’t even know you own a cat. Which is what I wanted because normally any cat owner I have ran into walking into their home you could smell that they owned a cat. But since I stay on top of cleaning it I’m able to avoid the cat smell.I also enrolled in the automatic delivery which saves you money.
