Auxbeam 2 Pcs LED Light Bars 4 inch LED Pods 18W Driving Light Spot Beam for Jeep, ATV, UTV, Truck, Offroad Vehicle (Without Wiring Harness)

After years of watching my son adding lights to his truck and surprised at the cost, I find myself in need of a pair of lights for my motorcycle. I began my search at the places my son bought his WOW. The prices are all over the place. Most are in the $100 range. Then, I decide to check out AMAZON and find AUXBEAM. I had to check twice because I thought the price to be for each light it was so low. I read the reviews, checked the specs and decided to try them. First off, with Prime I got them the next day. They were nicely packed in foam protectors. Unpacking them, I'm immediately impressed by how heavy duty they are. With a beefy heat sink, nice powder coat finish and heavy guage wire leads. They looked better than my son's $80 ditch lights. The only problem with these lights and I'm not sure if it's an issue with all lights off this kind or not, so I still gave the lights 5 stars, is the mounting bracket. They seem to be pretty thin guage and are easily 'bent' off center during the mounting process. It seemed like every time I tightened a bolt, I had to be careful not to bend the light off center. I mention it because it's kind of irritating but once the lights were turned on, I quickly forgot about the mounting issue. These are bright, well focused lights with a powerful beam. They are brighter than lights costing 4 times as much. I've already bought another pair and plan on buying more. I have no problem recommending them.

My husband loves his new light bars! He has been talking for so long about getting some for his can am, but he never found the ones he really loved. When I was offered this product in return for my honest, unbiased review, he was so excited. He finally was able to get him some light bars. We live in the country, and many times he and his friends ride out in the woods. These lights really help him to see better at night. It has helped him out so much! They are the perfect brightness. They are not too bright but at the same time, not too dull. They are perfect to see in the dark. We have been getting so much rain lately, I was worried they would get ruined in the rain. It has been over four days of constant raining, but the lights are still working perfectly! They are made of the absolute best quality! He also stated they were so easy to connect to the can am.

I have Auxbeam led’s in my headlights, but unfortunately due to the construction of the aftermarket housings, hardly any light reaches the sides of the road. I needed something to light up the sides so I’m not dependent on the 32” light bar on my bumper. I picked up a set of these spot beam pods, and they work perfectly. I hooked them up to a mictuning harness and some clamp mounts for the hood so I don’t have to drill holes, and these things are bright! The light output is pretty directional so they’re easy to aim so you won’t be flashed by other drivers. Plenty of light to light up the ditches and shoulders and beyond. After my first 30 minute night time drive at 70mph with these things, boy do they make a difference! They light up the shoulders very nicely! Thank you auxbeam!

For the price, these lights are a good value, and they do appear to be well constructed, but their performance is not as advertised. They claim to be “18 watts” but the LED's are only driven at about 10 watts (see below analysis.) Overall I do recommend these lights as they are relatively bright and significantly more efficient compared to similar halogen lights. Here are my measurements for incoming power at various input voltages: VDC in, Watts in 11.2, 16.1 (TB99 is at 100% duty cycle) 12.5, 12.1 13.8, 12.1 14.4, 12.0 Since the incoming power is only about 12 watts, and their TB99 based power supply is only about 85% efficient, the actual power delivered to the LED’s only 10.2 watts. Another observation is that the TB99 based power supply is not all that stable regarding current regulation over the 12v operating voltage range (10.5v – 15v.) As I varied the power supply voltage over this range, the brightness of the LED’s notably flickered. I modified my lights to be a bit brighter by lowering the current sense resistor value by putting a 0.5ohm resistor in parallel with the one already on the PCB. Here are my measurements after this mod: VDC in, Watts in 11.5, 20.1 11.8, 23.2 (TB99 is at 100% duty cycle) 12.5, 16.4 13.8, 14.9 14.4, 14.6 As you can see, the current regulation of the power supply is much worse, and at certain low input voltages the LED’s are most definitely being overdriven. At normal operating voltages, the lights still are not anywhere near their rated “18 watts.” I decided to keep my lights modified like this, knowing that I may be shortening their life if operated at low battery voltages. My application is for pontoon boat headlights, so their use will be intermittent at best with no more than 5 hours of use per year. I don’t recommend this mode if you will be using the lights for long periods and want them to last. One final comment. I looked on CREE's website to see if I could find LED's that look like the ones used in these lights. I found some similar ones, but none that were an exact match. I suspect the LED's used in these lights are not made by CREE. I do not have the means to test their lumen output to quantify their brightness, but I suspect it is below their specified range, especially since the LED's are not being driven at their full 18 watt rating.

I asked about connecting these to the original back-up light wiring but have come to realize that you just need to make sure the original size of fuse is in the fuse box for the backup lights. If the fuse does not blow, it means there is not too much power being drawn and it is protected! Mine turned out to be fine. As the photos show, these are VERY BRIGHT! Even has a spotlight, which I saw but didn't know what it was exactly. My Dodge pickup had the worst back up lights (as with most). My wife could not see to backup after going down to our gate on a winding driveway, with a steep drop off, when she found the gate would not open.......... Installation was a little tough ...spacer needed to have room. I had to tighten the allen set screw and then swivel the light around and tighten it up with the nut under the bumper. I installed these on a 2015 Ford SuperDuty activated by the factory up-fitter switches. I purchased the pair of spot and flood beams with the intention of using the spot pod light attached to a ditch bracket facing forward and the flood pod lights attached to the rear bumper (actually just behind the rear bumper). I had these for a little while before installing. While waiting for installation, I took another reviewers advice and purchased some Versachem 75009 Flowable Windshield Silicone from Amazon. I applied this around the front of the lights for a little added weatherproofing. These are great looking in appearance and seem of good quality. I finally got around to installing these a few days ago and haven't had any time to test them out at night, but they do work. During the daytime, while in the garage, they are brighter than the "brights" on my truck. Not that it matters for this review, but I flip flopped the spot and flood lights. The spot pods are attached to the rear bumper and the floods are facing forward. Oopsie, I will get around to switching them around sometime. We haven't really received much rain to see if any moisture creeps in past the lens. If I have any significant issues, I will update my review. In the meantime, for the price these are a recommend from me.

Finally got a chance to install these and have been thrilled. I think they put out more light than my stock low/hi beams combine. The install is about as straight forward as these kind of Aux lights go; as usual the wiring is the hardest part and deciding on placement. I drive a smaller sedan so it was tricky to find a spot that would be concealed behind a grill but not blocking light output. Lower front valence did the trick but trying to mount because of the location was a task in itself. Ended up removing bumper to drill some large screws into the metal backing of the bumper and then reinstalled bumper and it looks great. Most importantly they put out a ton of light and what more can you ask of lights! Happy with these for the price and will probably be purchasing more for my other car.

Excellent. I have both the flood model and the spot model (two of each). These are excellent, tough, put out lots of light for only 18 watts. Very happy with them. The floods have a large, homogenous round flood - great for riding my dirt bike at night. The spot model has been tested but not used in the field. Tight spot for distance and still plenty of side light for general use. I have bought four of the 4 inch lights, two of the 7 inch and two of the 9 inch -- very happy with all - for dirt bikes, ATVs and soon the tractor as a utility work light / headlight and rear light. Hello Readers, Sharing my honest review on this piece. I had purchased this product from Amazon on 8th May 2017 and it was delivered on 23rd May 2017. Due to my busy schedule i didnt get a chance to fix it on my RE classic 350. Finally the day came its 2nd of july and i got it fixed from a professional RE mechanic. The mechanic warned me about this helluva product and he said from where did u get this ? Its prohibhited on indian streets to use such leds. Riders infornt of you will drop dead or have to close eyes if ya switch on this sun ( light). I mean it its damm powerful. I feel sorry for others but its an eye catcher. People will stare at you forsure but besure its not a police officer. This product is one of the best you could get around on amazon. The name itself is enough Auxbeam. Auxbeam, Amazon , Courier facility and who ever was involved in delivering this awesome set of lights am so thankful to all of you. The price is worth the product . This product delivered the performance that is way beyond reality and my expectations. Love and respect to Auxbeam. These will light up the entire road for a good distance. I would advise you only use as a beam where there’s no other light, as these will blind oncoming drivers.

Best pair of auxiliary lamps I got till date. Though the beam is not spot beam as described but does the work. Most importantly got thease under RS 2000. The best you can get under RS. 2000. Highly recommended.

Eta of the lights was 3 weeks. They got to me in 10 days! Fantastic product! Definitely recommend it to everyone looking at aux led lights!!!

Genuine Auxbeam product. Great packaging. Using it on my Pulsar AS200 with custom mount built for it under the headlights. Its the real deal.
