Hold-Up Suspender Co.Holdup Hip-Clip Style Under-Ups Suspenders for Men with the Patented Metal "No-Slip" Clip

Decided to wear these for a week before giving a rating. I am a independent Information Technology field engineer. I am constantly up and down. On ladders and crawling around on the floors. I have always had problems with keeping my pants up. I have purchased many regular belts from leather to stretchy but none have been able to do the job. I tighten them to the point that I can barely stand it but to no avail. Somehow, my pants still manage to fall down.All my work jeans have the belt loop ripped off or almost off due to my constant and habitual pulling on them to keep my pants up. (see pic)After many years of frustration, I decided to look at suspenders. I initially didn't like the idea nor did my better half. The look of having suspenders just didn't appeal to me until I discovered the Wide Hip-clip Style Undergarment. I immediately ordered them hoping it would solve my problem of ruining jeans after jeans.I've wore them for a week now and I must say with all enjoyment, I couldn't be happier. Very easy to adjust and feel really good . It's like wearing a tight tee shirt under you polo or whatever shirt you choose to wear. I was worried that the clasps would irritate but that soon disappeared after the first full day. No irritation what so ever. You do notice it, but after you get busy, you don't even notice it. I worked all week without once having to pull up my pants. In fact, I even forgot to put on a regular belt one day which made me very nervous without the extra support, the Wide Hip-clip Style Undergarment wouldn't stand up... to my surprise it held up great. I couldn't be happier. In fact, I might stop wearing a belt altogether.In summery, this is an outstanding product. I wish I had decided to get it years ago. It would have saved me a lot of money replacing jeans. I highly recommend it to anyone that needs to keep their pants up without having to wear suspenders outside their shirts.

These work quite well. I put them on the first time and they fit well for my entire shift. They caused no shoulder pain and were out of the way of the items on my belt and they don't show.

Im not sure if it was me or how they were made but they slid off and were aukward. I am short and fat so maybe that had something to do with it. I will stick with regular suspenders.

They put more stress on the back and shoulders than a normal pair of suspenders, and cause more movement of an undershirt in the front and back.But, and this is a large but, they work well, and have far less abrasive adjustment devices than many suspenders. If you get skin irritation from normal hardware rubbing or pinching, go with these.As to the title of the review: I haven't tried them without one.

Excellent product , not available in the UK sadly

This is the 2nd pair of Hold-ups I've purchased in the last 4 months. This pair just 6 weeks ago. The first pair had the stitching that holds the suspenders together totally unravel in the last two weeks. (see my other review and pic) This pair has the metal clip on the left side not staying open when trying to attach the suspenders to your pants. This means, of course, that I'm trying to keep the clip open wide enough with one hand and holding up the pants with the other. Quite a pain in the butt when you're my age. As I said in the previous review, I've ordered 3 or 4 pairs of Hold-Ups in the past and been very satisfied. The quality from my recent experience has been exactly the opposite. A shame since I was a huge fan of their undergarment suspenders.

The suspenders do the job, but not impressed with adjustable bands using Velcro design. They will probably not hold up as well as other suspenders. A plus with these suspenders is they attach to the sides of your pants so nothing to interfere with your gut. I may in future purchase another pair and will rate 5 stars if they are durable.

Pros:- the underside of the straps are very very comfortable against bare skin- the extra wide straps don't dig into your shoulders- the clasps are rock solid and have never slipped off my pants...I can't brag enough about the clasps!- overall, these are VERY well made and will clearly last a LONG timeCons:- the front and back of my pants sag- side straps dig in unbearably along the front of my armpitsOverall, I'd recommend these if you like side suspenders, but they aren't for me. That is NOT a ding against the manufacturer or the quality of the product. They are nearly perfect except the type of suspenders isn't for me. That being said, this brand is, by far, the best there is. I have a pair of their contractor suspenders that I wear over a tshirt and under my polo every day. Absolutely great gear.
