Indonesian Phase 1, Unit 01-05: Learn to Speak and Understand Indonesian with Pimsleur Language Programs

I've always enjoyed Pimsleur language programs and used them for several languages to get a good start. Indonesian is great because it is designed to be learned quickly and is grammatically easy. I found that listening to the lessons 1-2 times per day and (very important) repeating the examples out loud I could finish lessons 1-5 in about 10 days. I have purchased lessons 6-10 and am very satisfied with the program. For those without intensive language study experience I highly recommend using Pimsleur Phase 1 so you get a sense of the sound and rhythm of the spoken language. After you have this background you may want to move on to a book based program so you can focus on reading as well as speaking and listening.
