Great Toy!
For the price, I was a little skeptical when I open the box and saw one foam board and thirty pegs and only one pattern card. Nonetheless, I got it out for my two year olds and 9-12 month olds. The two year olds immediately took to it right away! I didn't give them any instruction, just set it in front of them and watched what they did. Immediately they placed all the pegs in the holes, then switched to making towers then put all the pink ones together .... and it went on and on.....I think they played with it the first time for well over an hour! That alone made it worth the price!! And because they were experimenting on their own...BONUS! That's the best way to learn in my opinion! The babies loved it as well....they just liked picking up the pegs and carrying them around or putting them in a bucket and the one year old tried putting them in the foam board after watching the two year olds but will need more time to develop that skill! They still watched everything that the bigger kids did and I know it will not be long before they are doing similar things with the pegs and board. Well worth the money...I highly recommend it. One drawback as another reviewer brought up.....I have between 4 and 6 kids every day.....I will need another set...there are plenty of pegs for 2 children....but anymore than that and you will need an additional set! ha!

Easy for Toddler to Use and Play in Different Ways
My 2 year old really enjoys this toy. Prior, he was trying to put marker ends together to create one long stick of markers. I rememberd my oldest kiddo had this peg toy at daycare years back for fine motor development. My 2 year old enjoys stacking them like a tower or taking all the pieces apart and sorting them into a bucket. These are also helpful for color recognition exercises. What I enjoy most is the pegs do stay together decently, but are not too difficult for my kiddo to pill apart on his own.

Educational, Colorful, and Fun!
I purchased this set for my two-year-olds that love stacking, sorting colors and doing repetitive simple tasks right now. I love how this peg set has all the colors of the rainbow available and the colors are bright and appealing. I think they're a little too young for the pattern cards right now, but happy that we will have them as they get older. Their favorite thing to do with them is see how tall they can stack them in towers and color sort them into groups. This has been great for improving dexterity, balancing objects, and color/counting vocabulary. I took off one star for a few cons with this item. I wish it came with a simple carrying case. Even something similar to a small version of the see-through zipper cases sheets/comforters come in would be nice to make it nice for storing and travel because it's a good travel sized set. I would love to have a second board that is a little sturdier because the foam gets a little bit worked in after frequent use. I also had to lightly sand the sides of almost all the pegs because there was a little sharp bit on the edges where I assume it was broken from the mold because they were all the same. Too sharp for tiny fingers, but the light sanding took care of it easily. Lastly, I wish there was an even number of each color because when we color sort and count, 3 colors each have one less. Overall, my girls see past the cons and really love this toy.

Good to grow with a child
These pegs seem well made and easy enough for small hands to use. They would be a nice gift. The foam board seems very durable. Pegs are 2” tall and 1 1/4” in diameter. They are hollow so putting them to the mouth to blow through may be a possibility. The second picture shows this. As with all toys, parental guidance should be observed. But I think my daughter and 2YO granddaughter will be pleased.

Such a cool fine motor toy!
I bought this for my child as a way to work on fine motor skills, but I was so impressed with how much this toy captivated her attention. She would work on building towers with it for 30-45 minutes at a time and it definitely helped her enhance her hand strength. Really cool toy!

Great toy for preschool and toddlers
I run a home daycare with children ages 0-4. They all love this peg set. The pegs are brightly colored and large enough for even the infant to grasp safely. The older children enjoy stacking the pegs on the board and off of it. We have had fun sorting the colors and creating patterns. The set comes with a pattern card to copy. So far, we have not used it. The oldest children have worked on ABA patterns that they create on their own. My only complaint is that we need more pegs for 6 kids! I guess I will be purchasing this again. *update: I have now purchased a second full set with the board as well as additional pegs. The kids play with them daily. They love the amount of pegs that I have now because they can stack them up a few layers on the board.

19 month old loves it. Just missing tote bag.
Love this peg board, my 19 month old loves playing with these and can put then together really well he's already sorting them without any direction from me. Children can and are capable of doing so much if only given the chance. The reason behind the 3 stars, is because the description says that it comes with a tote to carry them in and I did not get a tote bag. If the description didn't mention the tote bag it would be 5 stars. I really just don't like feeling like I've been promised something and didn't recieve. If I would have gotten it from a brick and mortar store I would have taken it back and exchanged it for a different one. End rant. Other than the tie bag missing I'd definitely recommend!

Great for fun and learning.
Bought to entertain my grandchilden when they visit. They are 1 1/2 years and handle the pegs great. One loves to tower them separated by colors and one loves to build as tall as possible. It is one of the first toys that comes out when they visit. It is also a fun way to teach them colors without them knowing they are being taught.
