These are elegant good sized plates made of toughened soda glass, which are not meant to be use d for cooking in the oven but are designed for hot food and are dishwasher safe. My wife and I were pleased with them and used them for our breakfast porridge, keeping it warm for 20 minutes or so in the oven at Regulo 1(135C) In the evening they were soup or custard plates. On Sunday evening the 13th we were eating a Spanish supper of lentils meat vegetables and gravy cooked on the gas hob and poured into the dishes which had been warmed with water from the hot tap as the oven was not on. I had almost cleared my plate when with a loud bang it disintegrated! See photoBefore the meal we had agreed how good the plates were and we decided to buy another 6. We’ve now changed our minds and although I still use them for my porridge my wife won’t and says I should deposit them in the recycling bin!
