I read this book when in was Kid and i liked it then and i liked it now.Book quality was good and stories are always awesome.

Bought for my grand daughter

I read this for a Survey of Global Literatures course. While the illustrations are a bit cheaply drawn, the stories and their morals are excellent, and it serves as an interesting and fun exploration of classic Indian stories that few Americans know. It reminded me of illustrated Bible stories I read as a kid, and I'm sure adults who grew up with the Panchatantra will feel much joy and nostalgia reading it.

Charming stories, beautifully illustrated that are fun for adults as well as children. An effortless way to become acquainted with Indian classics.

Its a treasure trove of stories no doubt. The hardcover copy makes it even more special. My 12 yr old son enjoyed reading it so much.

In this age of electronic gadgets, these books by Amar Chithra Katha are always a welcome escape. It brings back fond memories from childhood and the simple stories come with excellent morals. The print quality is excellent and so are the stories. Highly recommended for young and old alike!

Stories and morals are self explanatory. Filled with Life lessons needed for all age groups. Must read. Vishnuguptha (alias Chanakya’s) master piece of knowledge.

Good one for kids

Good to have...the stories are nice and serve a good tool to inculcate reading habit. My niece is in 2nd class and she can read it (with little difficulty in pronunciation of few words but that's the purpose) to build vocabulary and fluency.
