Genuine E3D Hemera 1.75mm Heat Break

Careful, fragile
When I looked first at this heat-break or the Hemera in general, I was wondering how much the heat-break could withstand. Well, it isn't much.I needed to replace my heating cartridge using a plate screwdriver to pry the heat-sink a little open. The cartridge seemed to be baked into the block. A little more force, that was it for the heat-breakdidn't break, just bend 1 or 2 degrees. Yet enough to call it ruined. I am pretty sure, trying to bent it back will crack it or break it off.How can this happen, you might ask yourself. Simply by inserting the screwdriver plate into the heater blocks slot and twisting it to pry it open a little. If you can, remove the entire heater block, on the other hand if the cartridge is stuck, you'll have to tear apart your wiring or try to remove the cartridge from installed heater block. It may be excellent on the drawing board, but in a practical application, it is far too wimpy.

Product works ok, but be super careful when you do hot tightening.

Pricey but correct Hemera heat break replacement
I had a failure that caused the block to be covered in filament. I was able to take the cables out but this part was stuck in the block. I had to grab my spare block and cables and wait for this part to be delivered to get my machine back up and running which it is now. I'm glad they sell this part separately.
