REAL Cinnamon, not the poor imitation you're probably used to..
Cinnamon from the island historically referred to in the WestThis product contains Cinnamomum verum (verum meaning 'true' cinnamon) which has been highly valued since ancient times. The Egyptians, and later Greeks, Romans, and eventually Western Europe considered it so special that it was used as a gift for royalty and even deities. It wasn't until the 17th century that Europeans discovered it was widely grown on Ceylon.Prior to that, Cinnamonium Cassia (Chinese Cinnamon) was used as an adjunct and substitute for true cinnamon because it was less expensive. Cassia is the 'cinnamon' we know today and is widely available sold as a powder or in sticks. It is very stable at baking temperatures, so it's the distinctive flavor we associate with cinnamon rolls and similar baked goods.Due to differences in the way the verum trees are cultivated and the fact that only the thin inner bark of verus trees is used while the entire bark of cassia trees is ground up to produce a spice, true cinnamon is inherently more costly to produce than cassia, so most 'cinnamon' produced and sold is from the bark of species other than Cinnamonium Verum, and almost exclusively from Cinnamonium Cassia. From a health standpoint that is a problem, because the amount of the naturally occurring blood thinning agent coumarin in Cassia varies considerably and can be quite high, while the coumarin content of true cinnamon is consistently low. From am aesthetic standpoint, the cinnamon produced from verum is much more aromatic with a more subtle flavor, although it degrades at the high constant temperatures used in baking. The bottom line for me is that if you are adding cinnamon of any kind to your diet, whether as a flavoring agent or a supplement, it's wise to limit your intake. On the other hand if you're using it as a flavoring agent, true cinnamon is noticeably less harsh and can be used with a wider range of foods. So if you're not using very much anyway, why not go with the true cinnamon, even if it is more expensive?Because I've had excellent experience with other products from Zhou Labs, it was a simple choice for me to select their Ceylon Cinnamon. I take it to help regulate my blood sugar, but I utilize it as a flavoring in my tea. A capsule in a large cup adds just the right amount of spicy sweetness without the need for honey. And it elevates a cup of hot chocolate to another level entirely.I keep a handful of capsules with me at all times to share with friends in their coffee, tea, or smoothies, and everyone who has tried Ceylon Cinnamon has told me they'll never use Cassia again.

Check it out--fasting numbers show a concrete decrease
I am pre-diabetic (Ha1c between 5.7 and 6.3 on biannual testing) and not on any medication or any other supplements that affect blood sugar. I'm about to go on a medication temporarily that is known to increase blood sugar so I'm doing some preliminary tests this month to track my fasting numbers. I didn't like what I saw and was in fact getting really discouraged (as you can see from the skipped days below) until I started taking this cinnamon supplement. The change is clear in my fasting numbers--they speak for themselves. I also just feel better all around. I knew from my GD pregnancies that blood sugar issues affect me more than most but I didn't know how icky I'd been feeling until suddenly I was feeling better. Anyway, here's the numbers. I just bought two more bottles--I'm a convert. I wrote these numbers out to email my doctor the results, but then figured--why not post it here, too?Fasting blood sugars99 Th 1/21122 F 1/22113 Sa 1/2399 Su 1/2497 M 1/25113 T 1-26105 Th 1/28114 F 1/29122 M 2/01111 W 2/03Started taking Cinnamon 2x/day (organic Ceylon cinnamon 500mg, one twice a day)99 Th 2/0498 F 2/0591 Sa 2/0690 Su 2/07100 M 2/08107 tu 2/09100 W 2/10

In my WHAT?
I absolutely love this product as a supplement AND in my coffee pod. I'm ALWAYS looking for ways to enjoy my coffee. All the way from mixing different brands together in my reusable stainless steel pod to plant based milks. However, I was really pleased the other day when I opened and placed the gel capsule contents, mid fill up, into my reusable coffee pod! YUM!

Real Ceylon Cinnamon decreasing glucose levels
This review is real.I take Ceylon Cinnamon from Zhou Nutrition because it comes straight from Ceylon in Sri Lanka. It's organic. These are qualities that are said to make this type of cinnamon superior based on wide reading. It's exactly what the doctor ordered, based on study: [...].full By this, I mean that my doctor at the Cleveland Clinic used this in discussion with me on what dosage to try.I take two 500 mg capsules [1 gram] and studies show it helps stabilize blood sugar after 40 days—and the effect lasts even for 3 weeks after stopping the dose! Here’s some snippets "The addition of 1, 3, or 6 g of cinnamon to the diet led to significant decreases in serum glucose levels after 40 days." "After the subjects no longer consumed the cinnamon for 20 days, glucose levels were significantly lower only in the group consuming the lowest level of cinnamon."[1 gram] So, I have stayed on this 1 gram dose. The bonus I have had is that by using this company multiple times, they have given me coupon codes that help with the cost.

Great product!!
I bought this to assist my gestational diabetes. This product truly helped my levels remain in a super safe healthy region! I took it at night after my biggest meal (dinner). I plan on continuing this supplement after birth but at a lower dose to encourage my body’s natural insulin efficiency. After much research, this form of cinnamon (Ceylon Cinnamon) is the highest quality form, and I have felt safe using it in the third trimester of pregnancy after my diagnosis. This form may be more expensive than of cinnamon supplements, but because I want the safest form for myself and baby, I am so willing to spend the extra money. I have been really pleased with the quality of Zhou’s products, even though I feel like they are lesser known, and will continue to buy from them.I know people take cinnamon for many different reason due to its healing properties, but I took it specifically for blood glucose and am very happy with the results.Of course, please do your own research if you are in a similar situation with GDM.PS your burps taste pleasantly like cinnamon afterwards! :)
