They are not a dress boot, they are an everyday boot. I wound up ordering a 2nd pair in black. Update: After receiving the Ebony pair of this boot, I can honestly say there is a difference in the fit of the brown pair and the ebony pair. From the time I purchased them the brown pair were comfortable and the fit was perfect. The ebony pair was a bit tight on my feet, even though they are the same size. The break in time for the ebony pair is also taking longer.
