Perfect EDC pen!
I love it! Nice weight and this medium nib writes very smooth and wet, but not a gusher, just enough. Using Kaweco palm green ink and it shows shading nicely. The line width is closer to a medium-fine. Line width is thick enough to show ink characteristics and show up well on paper, but narrow enough to be able to still write small. I am amazed how smooth this nib is without any tuning. The cap comes off with just under one turn and posts securely. This is now my EDC pen!

Super smooth nib and convenient pen
I am surprised how well it writes! It is very convenient and I like the weight of the brass. I am sure I will use it a lot.

I carry this pen every day
This is a fantastic fountain pen. I purchased it with a fine nib, and it is an incredibly smooth writer. The nib glides smoothly across the page, whatever ink I throw at it (Diamine, J. Herbin and Kaweco in many colors so far). I write mostly in a Midori MD notebook, but it works great with Rhodia, Stalogy and Tsubame notebooks I have, and even on copier paper. It is my go-to, every-day-carry pen. I had great experience with Kaweco Sport Classics (plastic) and wanted to see what a bit more heft would bring to the writing experience. I find this pen to be very nicely balanced despite the extra weight (writing with the cap posted, of course). The brass takes on a great patina that continues to evolve through use. I added a bronze clip, which I think is a nice contrast, especially as the brass has aged. I feel that Kaweco doesn't get as much love as it deserves. I own several more expensive pens (Parker, Mont Blanc, Graf von Faber Castel, etc.), and I enjoy my Kawecos the most. Great company, and they really excelled with this Brass Sport!

Heavy Pen
I was curious to get this pen and I found myself a deal with this amazon return one. I did notice the person must of use it for a month or so then return it. It's no biggie as the price I paid for it was pretty good just not knew. I notice the cap is already patina and it looks different from the other half. It writes really smooth and the nib is bigger tan the average Kaweko sport.

Awesome.
Great pen—one of the best I've ever had. Good grip, beautiful brass body. Ink flow depends on the paper. Mine is medium, and on poor-quality paper, it leaves broad marks, but on standard paper, it is fabulous.

Great design, performance, resistance and best customer service ever from the brand.
I love this pen. I own a couple of Lamy Safaris, Aion, Faber-Castell Ondoro, a Montblanc and a Sheaffer, and I needed something I can carry around without worrying it will break on the field. This does that. The natural brass looks beautiful and I polish it sometimes at night with a jewelry cloth for a nice shiny gold color. Sometimes I just let the oxyde layer stay there as patina, and polish again when I get bored. It's like two pens in one. The nib works just great, the pen feels a little tiny for my taste, but it's good for scribbling things in meetings and on the go. I don't like it for longer writing sessions, I prefer a longer pen in my hand for balance. And thicker too. But for carrying around as a battle horse on the go, it's amazing. I stick it in my jeans pocket with my keys and it's like it's not there.I bought the fine nib and it's a typical western fine: not too fine, fine enough for detailed handwriting that tends to the medium-small size, like mine. The ink flows nicely, wet enough, and the tip is smooth. Granted, the nib is hard, it's steel, but nothing that bothers me and they have gold nibs available if I want to replace it with a softer one in the future. The only caveat is mine came with a cap that didn't post tightly, until one day it fell out and hit the floor, tip down. I contacted the vendor in Amazon and I never heard back from them. I contacted Kaweco and they won me over with the most amazing customer service: they said that's not how their cap should work and immediately send me a free replacement from Germany. They are the nicest, most professional people. My pen is now totally different from the one I bought: the lid is tight and secure now. I'm a big fan of the brand after this, my first experience with them. Nitpicking a little, the section of mine is a little discolored which is more noticeable when polished, making it contrast a little with the barrel. But that goes away when the patina shows up or if I polish the pen with a micromesh. So not sure if I want to bother Kaweco with this issue or even try again with the vendor (I figured if the latter didn't write back about the cap, much less about a relatively minor cosmetic issue).I ordered the black leather sleeve for it Kaweco Sport Etui ECO for 1 pen black and the square silver-color clip Kaweco Clip octogonal silver. Although I don't need the sleeve except for protecting it when it's laying around or thrown in my bag. Most of the time I carry the pen alone in my pocket. The pen is a conversation starter in meetings, it's solid, the design is pleasing and writes well. I'm very happy with it. So four stars for comfort (personal preference for bigger pens) plus one star for the amazing brand customer service, writing performance, material and design (because it is supposed to be tiny to be carried around): 5+ stars.Thank you Kaweco, you rock!—-UPDATE: couple of years later, still rocking on. I upgraded the steel nib to a Kaweco gold nib and it went from a great writer to writing like a dream! It sings! I now own a Montblanc 146 and a 149 and I still prefer to carry this Kaweco when size is going to be an issue… and I don’t miss the MBs at all, though I do enjoy using them. I absolute love it.
