Highly recommend but expensive
Purchased for use on motorbike in wet conditions. They remained waterproof for the majority of the day but after a few hours water did start to seep through onto my feet. At that point the cold got in too but overall the socks performed well. Found the price point quite high - would have been happier paying around the £30 mark which I would have taken the review to 5 stars

I didn’t want to leave a negative review…
I didn’t want to leave a negative review. I really wanted to like these and for them to be effective, after so many people have left positive reviews and I have been told by several people that they are supposed to be good. However I decided to test them on an eight hour hike in the very wet Cheviots. They kept my feet dry for about three hours, but by the time I had finished my feet were sodden! And they had let in peaty muddy water leaving my feet dirty brown and horrible. Now I have checked on the Sealskinz website and they do say that they’re actually not 100% waterproof. They have a disclaimer, which pretty much contradicts the claims on the packaging! A pity I didn’t see it before I bought them. Pretty disingenuous I would say. Perhaps I am being too hard on them, and perhaps they’re right in saying that the socks should not be considered 100% waterproof in the sense that you shouldn’t swim in them or stand in water for hours on end. But surely this does not preclude hiking in wet conditions which is presumably exactly what the socks are supposed to be for?? I would not have left such a scathing review if I hadn’t already got some socks by a different manufacturer that I have worn many times in the same conditions with no problems with wet feet whatsoever! Incidentally these are also cheaper! I am talking about socks by Dexshell and Arcticdry. I have had both of these pairs of socks for two years now with no problems no matter what the conditions. So it can be done, just not it seems by sealskinz. Very disappointed. They’re going back

Only used once but no kept feet totally dry/warm
The media could not be loaded. Bought them for kayaking and used them once so far in cold, calf-high water of Loch Lomond. But will be using them every time from now on.Feet were totally dry and warm throughout. They are really thick so needed to wear bigger/looser shoes, so keep that in mind. Once out the kayak, my feet got a little cold just sitting on the shore but nothing I wouldn't have expected with my feet basically wrapped in a sponge of cold water. Also my feet were so much warmer throughout compared to my neoprene slip ons and, obviously, bone dry.I have massive feet (UK 14) and top of the socks felt a bit wide/loose when I first tried them on as, at that size they've been built for a 'bigger' guy, but to be honest, once on and out in them, they didn't slip down or anything.Video is me testing them in the bath (gf didn't believe they were waterproof) and photo is to show how they look - not stylish.Pricey, but if like me you get cold toes to the point where you don't enjoy it or finish early because of the discomfort/numbness, these really made a difference.

Great for fishing all day
I bought it for my husband for when he goes fishing/ shooting. He has worn them a handful of times and has said that they have kept his feet warm and dry. So far, a good purchase.

Great waterproof socks
Done a number of rides through deep water with them and I'm glad I had these socks on. Obviously if you get water over your boots/socks they will get wet inside, but even when wet they still keep your feet warm - like a wetsuit would. They are comfortable to wear, even though they feel a bit stiff when you take them out of the package. I got the knee high and would recommend these for sure. They take a bit to dry out, especially if you get water into them from over the top, but I'm glad I had these on for the trips where I was going through deep puddles and water crossings. Mostly dry feet and always warm feet.
