I had one that I used daily for 5 years before it broke. That is pretty good duration for an easy to use scale that doesn't cost a fortune.

Overall, I'm happy with this scale, but I'm considering modifying the platform with a small piece of rubber or silicone it to make it more reliable.The scale is sensitive to moisture on the weigh platform. If there's moisture (drops of water, condensation, etc) are on the bottom of whatever you're weighing, or something spills onto the platform, the measured weight sometimes decreases at a rate of about 0.1 grams per second, even as the mass on the platform is stable.It seems to do fine for measuring espresso as I'm pulling a 30-40g shot, but struggles when I'm making pour-over coffee - I'll pour 50 or 100g of water and it'll slowly decrease, making it hard to measure the total. I guess that's what $13 will buy.
