UPDATE new drivers Work with OS 11, use edimax.us for downloads, not admix.com, easy install, easy to use, works better than OEM
Update; With the new driver for MAC, installation is easy and quick. The most important thing is to toss the CD and go to the correct website, ediman.us for drivers. Once the driver is installed and your MAC restarts, the edimax icon appears in the menu bar to the right of the airport icon. Just like the airport icon, click on the edimax icon, select your network from the dropdown and log in. On many MB Pros the airport card disappears. I'm using these to resolve the issue and recommending them to folks who ask.The directions are not very clear and the drivers on the CD provided are not up to date and are not labeled for each MAC OS. There is some help online and also tech support by email. After submitting my questions by email, I received a call within hours. The most important thing is to use the edimax.us site, not thee edimax.com sight!!! The drivers on the US site are labeled for each OS. 10.10 is the latest OS for which they have a driver, but 10.11 is promised soon. After the application is installed, open the wireless network utility, click on the "available networks" tab, select your network and log in. I downgraded this MacBook pro to 10.11 and it works. I tried on other MACs in earlier OSs and couldn't make it work. It worked smoothly after do a clean install of OS 10. My MB Pro is usable again. These are the instructions Edimax support sent me.Please try downloading the driver for 10.8 from our website at, "[...]". We have separated each OS driver for MAC.1. Once you download the driver, there will be 2 packages inside.2. Please run the "uninstaller package" first, then run the "installer package".3. After you install the driver, please refer to the Edimax Wireless utility guide, to enable your Wi-Fi.The latest driver is available to download with the link below. Once you have the driver downloaded, there will be a file inside that you can run to uninstall the driver.[...]Once you have downloaded the latest driver file, Edimax.dmg, from our web site, please open that Edimax.dmg file. There are two packages inside, USBWireless-install.pkg and USBWireless-Uninstall.pkg.Run the USBWireless-Uninstall.pkg package first.Go through the installation process of it and it will need you restart your computer. After restart, check your \Applications folder. You should not see Edimax Wireless Utility nor any other wireless utility existed in \Applications folder. If you still see a Wireless Utility there, please move it to trash bin. Once you verify there is no Edimax Wireless Utility in \Applications folder, you can go ahead to run the USBWireless-install.pkg file. The installation is quite straight forward.

Great build, good quality, great functionality. No problems. Highly recommended for Windows 10 users.
Purchasing this adapter was the culmination of experiencing terrible network issues after Windows 10 came about. The failures came very slowly and had a subtlety that made me overlook the issue. I didn't even realize it was actually the adapter I had (a TP-LINK TL-WN722N) was the problem, instead I blamed it on my ISP (Comcast). After some digging around, I found out the root issue was that Windows 10 was causing interfacing issues with USB network adapters. After searching for network adapters that were not only nominally compatible with Windows 10 but also from customer experience, I went with this Edimax. I've been very happy with it ever since. Installation was a breeze, although you have to use the driver software on their website instead of the one provided in the package on disc. That's important.I will update this review if I see problems with the adapter in the future.

Good item IF you don't bump into it
I liked this wi-fi adapter a lot. It worked very well, I don't think that I ever had a problem with it not being able to find a signal or stay attached to a signal. The speed was fantastic, there was never a time when the internet speed was affected by this device. The one issue I had with it was the size. It was large to work so well, but it ended up that either I would hit it when sitting by my computer or one of my children would hit it getting on or off my lap. In the end it ended up breaking, the USB hub broke completely out. It only lasted a few months and towards the end, after it had been hit a few times, it stopped working as things were broken. If you have kids or are rough yourself (both apply to me), this may be a little big and could break. If the computer is sitting in one position where you can keep it out of the way, I would say definately use this item. I will say that the next adapter I bought was another Edimax, just one that is very small and doesn't get hit on my laptop.

Less expensive Edimax EW-7811UTC AC600 works better for me.
I have a couple of Edimax EW-7811UTC AC600 Dual-Band USB Adapters from the same manufacturer also purchased at Amazon for half the price, and they both perform much more reliably than this AC1200 device and are just as fast in terms of internet download speeds on my system. I pay for a 100 Mbs connection and routinely get 85 with both the AC600 unit and the AC 1200 unit BUT the AC1200 unit varies quite a bit and drops connections. Odd because they seem to basically use the same driver. That's my experience. If you're just using it for the internet, stick with the cheaper and much more compact EW-7811UTC. It is very possible that if you are connecting wirelessly to a home or business network rather than the internet, the AC1200 unit might be much quicker. As usual, your mileage may vary, but that's my experience. Both of these Edimax adapters can be made to function under Linux as well as Windows, but loading the Linux drivers require a small amount of command line coding.

Good value for the money!
Not a ton to say about this WiFi adapter. It works and works well. I've get connection speeds of 867Mhz regularly to my 802.11ac router. Doesn't drop connections and has been so hassle free that I just forget about the thing... which is exactly what one hopes for. I'd buy another of these if the need arises.

no me gusto el tamaño, esta un poco gordo y ancho. si lo conecta al puerto, no se puede conectar nada al otro puerto. Pero su funcionamiento esta muy buena

Works very well
Works very well. Better than any of the internal WiFi radios in my desktop computers. Probably partially due to the fact that it has an external antenna that can be raised to the vertical position. And if that isn't the case, due to the orientation of the USB port, you can use a short USB 3.0 cable to make sure that the antenna does stand vertically. So for me this is an ideal solution to a mini PC mounted on the back of a TV, where the internal WiFi antenna has terrible reception when mounted on it's side. Many online reviews rate this adapter as good as, or better than, competitor devices up to twice as much.Easy to install on Windows 7 with downloaded drivers.

Very reliable. Does excatly what you would hope and expect.
Very good quality, very good performance, very simple to setup by following instructions.Good signal, good range. Very easy to turn off and on again if there's a connection issue (which is rare). My only issue with it, is that unlike all other wireless adapters I've used, this one causes Windows 8 (and now 10) to think that there is some external media connected and will not hide the 'safely remove hardware and eject media' icon from the bottom right of the taskbar. I've learnt to deal with it but it does bother me as I like a clear desktop.I paid £30 and in my opinion it's worth the slight extra over other brands that don't offer as high a signal as AC1200

Bon produit
Je l'ai acheté en remplacement d'un dongle wifi Netgear.Aussi performant mais surtout ... compatible en natif avec Ubuntu 15.04.
