Ideal for home-brewing
Great for beer and fruit wine. I use the tube to float the hydrometer in. Easy to read. Mine reads 3 thousands too low, but once you've calibrated with water you can easily adjust for that.

There is no measuring cylinder
The protective case, is just a tube with stoppers at either end and no measurements as stated in the description. I bought this over another just because of the included measuring cylinder. Really annoying.
